  1. Congratulations to Coach Fleming! A GREAT coach who demanded great things!
  2. Congratulations to both teams, a great game! Nothing to ashamed about Cayuga! Good luck to Tenaha!
  3. Congratulations to Robinson! I got to watch them twice this season and they had a team where every one who played contributed in big ways. Awesome job! No doubt who had the best Region!
  4. Minta had 5 points last night. She took the ball to the hole and couldn't get a foul call to save her life. She did force some shots, but no one from Bullard was getting any good looks. This will be great experience for Minta, I will promise you she will be in that gym today working. And Daniellions, I hadn't read your post when I posted mine. Good Luck to Winnsboro!
  5. IMO you can not have just one ball handler, and that's what Bullard has. Just like any program they MUST get in the gym and work ball handling. It must be important to them. I think Coach Gay will do a tremendous job of making sure they work on their on. (ALL OF THEM) Robinson had several good ball handlers! Everybody wants to be good, but not many want to put the time in to be good. Just think about that statement. We have the same problem at Brownsboro! Except where you guys have one gym rat we have none, Coach Griffin is doing a great job of raising expectations, and going back to good ole fundamentals. You guys in Bullard, as well as us in Brownsboro are lucky in the fact that our administrators will do whatever it takes for us to be successful. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT! But ultimately it has to be up to the girls to want to get better. And let's not kid ourselves, even with one ball handler, Bullard could have easily won this game, they are just as good as anyone in 3A, just not last night.
  6. One of those games where nothing went right for Bullard, and just about everything went right for Robinson. But I tell you Robinson is GOOD! Very disciplined team that never got rattled. Bullard had a tremendous season and nothing to be ashamed about. Minta I am very proud of you and the season you had! From a PROUD uncle! My two girls thank the world of you and thanks for being the ultimate role model! Now lets get to work for next year.
  7. Congrats to Robinson! Very well disciplined team! Congrats to Bullard on a tremendous year! Nothing to be ashamed about!
  8. Robinson will be very good, but I think the Athens game will help Bullard. #2 vs #4 it could be anyone's game. Going with Bullard. Good Luck to the Lady Panthers!
  9. I just want to say that Athens was playing its best ball of the year. They split in district with Crockett, Fairfield, and Brownsboro. In the last game against B-boro, Furr got hot and they beat B-boro by 20 something. And remember Brownsboro has beaten some good teams this season, they beat an undefeated Crockett team and split with Athens. My point is that Athens is a great team, Coach Durrett had a great game plan defensively I thought. This game tonight will help Bullard down the road. I thought Coach Gay did a good job of keeping his girls focused. And congrats on the 100th win; lets hope he has 105 at the end of this season.
  10. Bullard should win, but you are correct, they can not take Athens for granted. I don't think Bullard will take them for granted! Good Luck to the Lady Panthers!
  11. Orange, keep in mind that Brownsboro has already beaten Tatum this year, I think by 10 or so. Now that doesn't necessarily mean they will again, but just giving you a gauge on these two team.
  12. I didn't think that orangecat was degrading Bullard either. Orangecat is correct Bullard and Robinson will more than likely meet before Regionals. I have seen Bullard and they are the real deal, I think they are playing much better now than they were early, and they were playing pretty good early. I know absolutely nothing about Robinson, except that they beat Diboll. So that being said, it should be very interesting. I'm just hoping if Bullard and Brownsboro meet, it will be in the finals. Very good region and good luck to all teams!
  13. uniballer, it is a great site, keep it up!
  14. I don't think UIL will budge on this, but I could be wrong. This is only going to worse before it gets better. Good Luck to all of you baseball coaches out there, and the umpires.
  15. I coach for a living and I must say this time I agree with the officials. Now with that said I agree that this year let's swallow our pride and get through it and fix it next year. But if the UIL bosses were told they would receive a 40% cut in pay, what would they do? Or any of us for that matter. As bigun said in another post, these young men that love the game will be punished if something isn't done. The UIL may have to swallow its pride on this one.
