  1. Not possible for at least 2 years. Waskom is 2A, James Bowie is 1A.
  2. Garrison will be tough for the might bears this week, but I think they have it in them. I hear things are looking up, up there.
  3. ^^^From what I heard, Timpson lost a good coach from last year too!!! I believe he was the OC.
  4. I don't know about ya'll, but I can wait for a little baseball this spring.....
  5. Whooooo Hooooo another shutout!!! Hey, Pirates I read somewhere that the Texas school for the blind was looking for a game, you could add them and meybe get another shutout!!!LOLOLOLOL Did it ever occur to you that meybe that's why you guys get your Pirate ship sunk every year in your FIRST AND ONLY playoff game???? Meybe if you played someone tough in your pre-district you might be ready when you play a good team!!! Just a thought!! Hey genius.....have you looked at their schedule??? I guess Quinlan Boles isn't tough??? Just a top 10 team. That'll be a good test for the pirates. Just as long as they take care of business like they should against cumby. And just as long as they beat the teams they should like they should I don't see where you have room to talk.
  6. I think its funny that kilgore hasn't lost a baseball game to whitehouse in years until this year, and now its a "Big Deal" to beat the wildcats.....lol. my how times have changed. Congrats WH, keep winning.
  7. As much as I'm sure you umpires don't like the Peon or at least his comments right now, this is a nice post, and a nice idea. BTW, I saw two good ones last night. Its a good feeling to know that the game is under control.
  8. its good to see whitehouse at the top right now.
  9. dluump, i agree, an umpire should make the call in his head and then verbalize the call. ball/strikes/outs/safes. as far as emotions, i think sometimes even the bangers can be made with confidence without a big call, but confidence and authority in the call is always good.
  10. I did see a good one Friday night in the field. He was pretty sharp. He hustled to get in position to make calls, and he made even the tough calls with authority and confidence. But at the same time he never once gave the appearance of putting on a show. I did thank him and don't mind giving credit where its due. I saw another one just a few days before tell me in between innings that he would "give my pitcher 2 baseballs off the outside corner.....but he couldn't go 2 and a half baseballs". I just wondered to myself how good this guy had to be to know the difference. It was obvious after 2 innings there was no way he was good enough to know the difference. Another thing that bugs me is when guys try to tell a coach where his strike zone is. (I"ve seen that on a weekly basis almost). My opinion is that coaches and and player should adjust to the zone, but don't come tell us where it is. If you see a strike, call a strike. Example, had a guy say he'd give 6 inches off the outside black, but he wasn't going to give anything on the inside corner. Why even say that???? And why not call a strike if you see a strike? I know that "#### and strikes" are left of to an umpires judgement, but its like once they try to verbally say where the zone is, they're surely going to "miss" a few. Where as if they just call a strike when they see one, there's not anything a coach can say.
  11. ok, let me be more specific. i haven't seen ANY officials from the chapters you've named. I'm not attacking, but if the shoe fits then wear it. and my guess NOW is that if you can't take comments like such on an open forum, then you might be an official that surely can't take it on the field either.
