Everything about this game says that Franklin is the major favorite, but after seeing Malakoff a couple of times this year and after last week, I just feel it is Malakoff's Year and Driskell finally gets the ring.

From what I understand, the chat was disabled on the FNF App because of the situation with Hirschi and Graham.

Is there really a reason to vote on the winner, this game will be over in the pregame.

I can understand your frustration, however the firing was not the fault of the new coach. Too often we blame the wrong people for the wrongs of others.

I heard he moved back to Bremond and played for them this season. I think he was a Texas commit.

If Malakoff in Round two had been able to kick extra points, they would not have beaten Malakoff. Yoe beat them by 1, and Mally missed five of six extra points.

I believe there was a Middle School game scheduled before Malakoff had to change their schedule. Maybe one day soon, we will bring back the old rivalry. Still not productive for either team at the Varsity level right now.

After a 1-9 season in 2019, The Kerens Bobcats are headed to the playoffs. Coach Ted Patton and his staff did a great job this year. The young Bobcats were in every game, and are just a few points and minutes from being 8-2 on the season. The future is bright in Kerens.

Cedar Hill was a 4th place team about 7 or 8 years ago, got hot and won state. So you never know. I always see a lot of complaining about 4th place teams making it in the playoffs. It allows a community to have some sort of pride at the end of the season. Yes, they are not going to win it all for the most part, but they get an extra week of practice or two for their young guys. I see nothing wrong with it.

The first round of the playoffs should be hosted by the higher seed. After that, I would be fine with neutral sites. It is extremely difficult for all of the lower classifications to find a neutral site in week 1. Week 2 is difficult at times as well. Good luck to everyone making the playoffs this year. Can't wait for Championship weekend at AT&T. It will be fun.

At some point either team will have to look at the State Championship game being on a Thursday for 3A DI. So they need to get away from Saturday games ASAP. Friday is the best night for Mally since they played last Saturday. Coaches are still finalizing their game plan this am before practicing this afternoon. Without their stud QB Whitney is in trouble. What happened to the QB? He is a difference maker.

That QB is the real deal. He will get them some wins by himself.

Just described every baseball coaches town. Baseball has to be the toughest sport to coach, because every daddy thinks they know more than you.

To beat Brock, you can't be one dimensional. You have to be able to throw the ball and run the ball. After the RB went down for Yoe last year right before half, Brock pounced on them. Before he went down, they were having success with the run game and throwing a little. I would have thought Mineola would give it a shot, but they have struggled at times this year. Pottsboro will be a tough team to beat. They are well coached and have some great talent. Region III has been a beast to get out of. Malakoff has had success running the ball and they have two solid receivers along with a strong QB. Yoe is Yoe, and has four very good receivers, and a RB and QB that can run. Region 4 I know little about them. In years past, they have not had much success against Yoe, but you never know that is why they play the game. I would love to see a newbie come in and win it all, but it will be difficult for Malakoff, Halletsville, or Yoakum to get by Yoe. After all, they are Yoe. the next three weeks look to be fun in 3ADI.

You can't replace Smith, also the NG last year was a difference maker. But until Yoe goes down in the playoffs, you just about have to pick them as the favorite each week.

Right now, I would say that everyone is hopeful. It is too early to tout your team as a sure fire State Champ, or at least Finalist. It will take luck along with talent and coaching to get there. Good Luck to everyone that made the playoffs.

Rockdale Yoe Franklin

I am going to say that one of the top defenses in the state is at Denton Ryan. I know they are not Eat Texas, but if you get a chance to see them, take it.

After watching Malakoff, they have two decent DL and 1 LB but he only weighs about a buck 50 dripping wet. Not sure how they stopped Kemp, but not sure there are very many adjustments you can make at the half when you just don't have the players. Those two DL also play on the OL and are your two best OL as well. Buna will be a tough match for them, but the good thing for Mally is they have won those close games this year. Kemp will get beat worse than they did against Malakoff, and WW will have their hands full. They should get beat by EC. Teague will win by as much as they want.

Did not work out for Malakoff either. But it was a funny one.

Of the Young men I have seen this year, the kid from Edgewood is very talented. He just does not have much help. Skinner from Teague is the real deal. Wish he was a little taller. He has great arm strength, and knows the game very well. He can run when he needs to, he just does not need to run very often. Strong arm and quick release. I hope he gets the chance to play at the next level. I do not doubt that Murray is an exceptional QB. I have not seen him in person, but have watched him on TV the last three years. I would love to have either of these three by my QB.
