  1. Did I say anywhere in that statement it was an NL fan? No. And it is fairly easy to be both obnoxious and passionate at the same time. Ever been to a major college sporting event? Passionate and obnoxious can easily go together, whether you want to admit it or not.
  2. I'll retract my previous statement on that, they are in a different district than I thought. I mean, good lord, they almost double the enrollment figures of every school except Paris and Bonham, there should be no way they could possibly miss the playoffs.
  3. Oh I read it. And while I don't intend on getting involved in the whole "bad fan" argument, I believe it was a stretch to even include that. It seemed you were having to try to hard to find an insult for PG. And as far as PG fans stealing things from their own team...I doubt it. Despite your opinions, they are very avid fans, and truly support their teams, more than any other school i have ever seen. So, I would not expect someone to steal from the team they are so passionate about. I don't care if you disagree with it, being an obnoxious fan does not make you a criminal.
  4. Haha this is classic. Let's go back 2 years and find a legitimate insult. What happened this year? I think you know. That 49-0 win didn't help you make the playoffs this year did it? Didnt think so. NL will be hard pressed to make the playoffs in the new 3A district. If you're going to bring something like that up, bring up something that happened last night(pg win), last week (another pg win), or even back in September (pg win)...going 2 years back is a stretch, but you just keep holding onto that glory.
  5. The PG Head coach stood by his word and did not play them. Thats good. He obviously needs to establish some discipline. Maybe next year they'll realize their boundries. I sure hope that extra couple of hours of sleep on Saturday morning was worth it. The worst part is, there were some seniors out there tonight who absolutely played their hearts out, and their last game came way before it should have. My heart goes out to those guys, because they didn't deserve to see it end this early. However, props to Sabine. They had some incredible shooters. I do believe however, if the Hawks defense would have been much stingier if they had all the natural ability that was sitting on the bench tonight. The sad thing is, we will never know what the outcome would have been. Good luck to Sabine, and hopefully the PG players learned something from this, and won't let down their teammates in the future.
  6. Even if they are missing a few starters, I have seen crazier things happen in sports. Especially when backups are given the chance to be the starters, it's like an extra motivation for those guys. I have no doubt the new starting 5 will play their hearts out, because now there are a couple of seniors starting who know this could be their last game. I'm a little hesitant now to pick them to win, but i refuse to lose all faith. Win or lose, they will play hard, and that's all you can ask for.
  7. I'm sorry, did you go to the first meeting between these two? L-E did not have an answer for Watts. 24 points is not an average night.
  8. It's not like he's been sitting at home playing video games. He's been practicing for those 3 weeks. The fact is, he's the best ball handler on the team, therefore, his presence is a factor.
  9. Hope he becomes an Aggie. Having two big recievers like him and the Fuller kid would be a huge weapon.
  10. Not be much of a factor? You're serious? This is a completely different team with Reid at the point. His impact may not show up on paper, but he's essentially the quarterback. Having a guard with his ball handling skills should solve any issues PG has had with the press. But, if you only consider someone a factor if they score points, take a looks at Watts. In the game with Reid against L-E, he had 24, and was deadly from behind the arc. If he starts feeling it, the Leopards may be feeling some deja vu.
  11. I'll go ahead and say that as a senior, I did not expect this to be my last game. I never in my wildest dreams thought I would feel this empty when it was all over. I want to go ahead and thank every player and coach who may come across the thread, because I love each and every one of ya'll and will never forget all of our accomplishments this year. The whole idea of Hawk Nation really got underway this year, and I hope that in ten years, i'll be able to look back, when the team's still successful, and say, we started that. 12. I think PG would much rather see Pitt in the fourth round than Celina, Go Pirates!
  13. Heard they were re-doing their track...something along those lines.
  14. PG really only played 1 quarter last week and was still able to win. They've already beat C Hill this year, and I expect them to be a lot more focused this week, and should put in a full 4 quarters of work. If that happens, it's a Hawk's victory.
