The problem with this entire thread is not what the UIL's stance is on the matter,,,,,,but, why a Coach would allow a parent of an athlete on the team to participate in the practices or games at the high school level. Regardless of the individuals motives or intentions, the consensus would be that they are there to advance the chances of their kids starting, and or playing. Does not mean that the consensus was accurate, but who needs that drama?

Facts.............. I voted today, and nailed it with "Gilmer in a close one." Gilmer won. Normally, with 7 turnovers, you do not win. (regardless of how the turnovers happened) PG played great. PG is young and will be even better next year. Gilmer is still undefeated. RedCreek had to have CPR administered 4 times during the game. Lmao!!!!!!

I'm giving PG the nod this week............. If my prior predictions reflect the same accuracy as this one, you can take it to the bank. Just saying

Fortunately, times have changed in regard to playing in bad weather, but only in regard to lightning. There is not much worse than driving to an out of town game and having delays all night due to lightning. I understand it, it just really makes for a long night with no guarantee that you will even get to finish.

In Texas high school football, can you play on JV on Thursday, and then again on Varsity the following Friday?????? I searched the UIL website and could not find anything other than, they could only play a certain number of games in a regular season.

What will hurt the Hawks is if GW doesn't snap the ball over the punter twice for safetys like Atlanta did.

My prediction is that PG is going to pull out all the stops and play at the highest level that they have all year. However, I think that it's still going to be a little short and Gladewater wins by a TD. Hope that I'm wrong.

Understandably everyone is proud of their teams success. It will be interesting to see who is still pounding their chest after Friday night. I hope for an injury free game and will be the first in line to eat crow if LE does not win.

Tough call. I watched the PG vs Pitt game and the LE vs Atlanta game. Gonna have to go with the Rabbits. Think they have picked up some momentum with the LE close call.

I understand that officials miss calls and sometimes make bad calls, but what almost got me thrown out was losing my temper when they wouldn't blow the whistle when the play was over. That's how you get a kid hurt.

Funny thing is that most if not all the students that wear the confederate flag shirts to school, are only wearing them to be disruptive. Bet most of them couldn't tell you anything about the civil war.
