  1. I think this will be closer than the experts think but still Cayuga 35 28
  2. Tech will win this one. Tech is much better in defense than OSU and I believe their offense is better too. OSU was the MOST overrated team around and they showed how week they are against rice.
  3. The district looks like this now. Alto 1-0 Cayuga 1-0 Overton1-0 Cross Roads 0-0 Carlise 0-1 Grapeland 0-1 Cushing 0-1 Alto and Cayuga meet in the next to last week of the season in Alto. Grapeland and Cayuga meet the last week of the season. Overton Has Cayuga, Alto then Grapeland. Alot will be decided in the next 3 weeks.
  4. Alto looked great last night Ill say 21 7 or 28 7 are good prdictions. Alto needs to work on discipline and turnovers. almost killed us last night.
  5. War of words is over at 7:30 the battle begins and to the victor the inside path to the playoffs. Hahahha... I am ready for this game I think it will be a good game.
  6. Im gunna say Lovelady in a close one.
  7. I thought they was way way overrated. just like oklahoma state.
  8. Yea the field has been bad all year we moved our scrimages because of it. I havent seen it since we played SA so I dont really know. Its been almost 4 weeks since the varsity has seen the friendly combines of jacket stadium. lol
  9. I just see Alto getting revenge from last year. Just like they did on Frankston. I know its going to be one heck of a game between the 2. Alto also will have a good game this week to with Grapeland.
  10. This is listed as one of the toughest districts in 1A and now starting district I would like to know how yall see this district shakeing out. I see it goin: 1)Alto-deep run in playoffs D1 2)Cayuga- Deep run D2 3)Overton- 4)Grapeland- 5)Carlise - 6)Cushing- 7)Cross Roads- With 3rd 4th and 5th being very competitave. Could very well have both champions out of this district.
  11. Tony Dungy is a great man and I think he would make a great coach for the cowboys too.
  12. Cayuga has a district that is stacked with recent 2A schools ie.. Alto Grapeland Cross Roads. With that said alto since droping to 1a has lost 3 games to 2A teams one being to Arp who is an awesome team this year. This year alont against 2A they are 3-1. So far out of the 3 top teams in the district (Cayuga Alto and Grapeland) against 2A are 6-2. Cayuga yes is in 1A but to say they could compete in 2A this year is not really fiesable to say. Do I think they could win state in 2A... no but they could make a run. Same with alot of the 1A teams this year. Almost all the top ten are recent additions to 1A from 2A.
  13. Excelent point. We have problems but they are still small to alot of other countries.
  14. The best way in my opinion is to create another class. 4A is really spread and so is 3A. Crockett is in district with schools that thier enrollment is 3 times what they are. And the size of schools really so when you get into 1A. Lovelady- 29 or so varsity Grapeland - 18 or so, Lovelady actulaly has more seniors than grapeland does varsity. I remember Alto playing oakwwod and oakwood haveing 13 and us having 26 or so. Thats alot of difference. I think that if would be safer and more competitive and fair to the kids if you make schools under 100 in enrollment go 6-man. Just my opionion.
  15. I pray for the whole school district. I expecialy pray for the teacher who lost his life todays family. Teaching is a noble profession and one that is needing people to do it and this doesnt help bring anyone in. This is a problem that is in every school.
  16. They way its been going the last few years I think you will start to see alot of the smallest schools explore the 6-man option. 1A is now 10 years agos 2A and the traditional powrhouses are now in 1A and dominating, and the smallest schools arent able to stay competative.(in general) I was happy to see oakwood and Apple Springs pick up the 6-man option and it seems to be working for both of these teams.
  17. Well Shanahan is a great quaterback guy and his safteys are always hard hitters. I really think he would be the best choice for the cowboys after phillips. I think that McCoy would have passion for the position. You know he wants to be a cowboy.
  18. I hope they get it straighten out, I always like for all the area teams to do good.
  19. That actully would be a great Idea. Ausmus is smart and probobly knows the game as well as anyone. I can really see that working.
  20. I agree with the first part but I would like to see romo stay but the cowboys pick up McCoy in the draft next year if at all possible. Then after two years or so him take romos spot. Only thing with McCoy is like romo is inconsistancy so far this year. But I think after this week he should smooth out the first half jitters.
  21. I would love to see biggio anywhere in the clubhouse for the astros. I say yes on all the ones listed to trad except Berkman, I know he has been a little injury prone here of late bt he is a good all around player. I see him haveing at least another 2 to 3 years in him. Oswalt is about to retire soon. I know he has said he didnt want to play over 10 years or so. Tejada I didnt like comeing to houston in the first place. All he seems to do is hit double plays to short or hes the hero theres no in between with him. My biggest fear is that they trade pence away. He has a bright bright future and the astros seem to alway either get guys to early in thier career or to late in thier and he is just comeing into his prime.
  22. I hope that Crockett can pull one out before district but it dont look like it. Crockett has had one of the toughest pre-district schedules. Coldspring, Corigan, Mexia, Madisonville, and La Vega. Been a long year so far.
