They (the Alabama Coushatta tribe) have been fighting the state over this for many years. There are some very, very wealthy investors from Louisianna that have been pouring in lots and lots of dollars to try and keep this from happening!! Many Texas legislators have increased their bankrolls for voting against this!!The Courts finally ruled in favor of the tribe in Livingston so they opened it a couple of years ago, now they are now enlarging and increasing the size of the casino and adding other attractions.

If there's not any Black Jack Tables then I don't see a reason to even go.  Then  Houston already has many poker rooms that poker players can go to.

Again, you like the others, just want MORE government control over matters of the individual.....That's okay, but when they again MANDATE vaccines, make sure you are whining and yelling, "my body, my choice" like all the good commie conservatives were about 2.5 years ago......

It's the States choice, and always had been until Roe v. Wade.  Birth Control has come a long way since 1973.

As of last week, NASA has confirmed the discovery of 5,602 planets outside our solar system!  55 of those are earth-like. Our Milky Way galaxy likely has between 100-200 billion planets, but there are perhaps many, many more.
Want your mind blown?  Buckle up.
Our Milky Way galaxy could have 100-200 billion planets.  Now consider there are more galaxies in the known universe than there are grains of sand in all the beaches around the world !!!!

    I'd sleep through that witch-hunt too ......

I used to sleep through church too if the sermons were long or boring.  Court is even more boring than a long sermon.  If anyone wants to disagree with me go to a court hearing and try and stay awake for more than an hour.

Funny, I do agree with the Founders more than you know. Especially the parts about "FREEDOMS" and Small Government. I believe in the constitutional system of government, which makes laws, decides laws through checks and balances. And yes, the Supreme Court sent Abortion back to the states......and some states WENT TOO FAR....so much so they took away people's rights. Whether or not you want to believe that.....so vote your values, but don't question mine, because you are in favor of BIG Government.....

Until 51 years ago every state had laws against abortion.  They even had laws against apothecaries in the early 1800's in states to prevent them from selling poisons as they called them that could induce a miscarriage.  If you agree with abortion in the State of Texas then vote for people that are pro-abortion to change the law to fit your desire.  I do agree with abortion in less than 5% of abortions being performed, because those instances are so rare and a woman should be able to decide if she should carry the child, and if she is married her husband should have some say in the matter.

The logical choice is to avoid pregnancy all together if someone doesn't want to have a child.  I didn't realize this until last week when I was in Kroger and they had OTC oral birth control on a main display.  I thought the pill could only be prescribed by a doctor.

The Federal Reserve is a private bank.

Let me ask you a question. When you really think about it, do you think charging fees and minimum balances are enough to sustain banks? I'll say this, your signature is worth a lot of money but I'm not sure any of you are ready for that rabbit trail.

No, and that's why they charge a higher interest than what the Federal reserve sets for loans.  That used to be their moneymaker.  Free Checking has become a thing of the past.  Even with debit cards the banks receive .074% for debit card usage for credit cards it can be as high as 3.5% per transaction.  The way they made their money was on loans, and why it's so hard to get a loan for some people, because of the risk involved.

This sounds like an actual casino, not a gaming parlor ....lol

I didn't read anything about gaming tables, but it did mention electronic Bingo machines whoo hoo.  I think gambling should be legalized in the State, but I've already made that statement.  As for tribal lands they should be allowed to have all gambling available and the State should stay out of their business.

  8. Expound on your thinking Barry or do you only think what your pundits think ?  It's why I think this is both a cash cow for Ukraine and Russia combined, and with Zelensky pulling Biden's strings to protect Hunter, who is doing the bidding ?  Zelensky wants to stay in power and rich when he was just a comedian at best.  Even if Ukraine ousts Russia which I highly doubt, Zelensky and his minions will be laughing to the bank.  Should Russia take over it won't change a thing.

no choice huh? The fed has no loyalty to any party. Funny how a private bank controls interest rates, but I'm sure they would have avoided this if it were possible years ago 😂😂😂😂😂

P.S. Just want to throw a little more gas on the fire. The U.S. is a corporation also.

Private banks don't control minimum interest rates, that is also done by the Federal Reserve.  Banks are usually higher by 2% for borrowing and even higher based on credit scores as well as the amount of the loan.  If you've also noticed interest rates on savings have also rise, but they are usually about the same amount less (2%) than the amount to borrow.  That's how banks make money in addition to service fees that were once unheard of unless you had a minimum balance of what is now $1000 in your account at all times.  Many banks used to have free banking, but that has changed.  They would sell you checks, but you could get cheaper checks ordering them from a check service company.

I just thought about something else and admittedly, it’s apples and oranges as compared to this case, however, when we’re driving and an accident occurs and if we do not stop and render aid to another driver that can be and often is a felony offense, in Texas.

The parents failed to stop and render aid first to their son in ignoring his mental issues.

Then you could possibly get the parents for manslaughter for increasing the potential for the son to get a firearm, while knowing he was nuts and they had been made aware he had thoughts of murdering other kids.

I am all for everyone being held accountable for their actions.

In my opinion, the son needs to be sentenced to death and the parents definitely need to be punished for their actions and inactions.

    Common sense.

Then it would be the same if you bought a 16 year old a car or let them use your car and they killed someone, because of a judgement error with their driving.  I still can't blame the parents for purchasing their son a gun, and no one knows how he got it.  His mom posted that they bought him an early Christmas Present, and I'm sure that he began to look for it.  His father stated that if he knew his son was going to commit this crime he would have never bought the gun for him.

At least don’t pretend like this is Ukraine’s war….this is fully SloJoe’s war supported by the military industrial complex…Rino’s and all….what will the US get for “winning” this war????

Deeper in debt.  The only thing we win is it weakens Russia according to this article.  They're already showing that they are not as strong as most including myself thought they were.  If that war ended today with either Russia taking over the whole country or Ukraine remaining sovereign we would see cheaper prices.  By prolonging that war further it hurts Americans more.

Oh, so this IS a bad thing for Texas and those who will have jobs here? What I was expecting, well, that and the straw man arguments. When did 'conservatives' get so terrible at 'whataboutisms' that have ZIP comparison value?

Why invest it in a foreign company ?  Texas Instruments still exists and has been in this field for years.  Maybe if it wasn't a foreign company more people would be on board with this.  On top of that only 22.73 % of the jobs are only temporary for construction.  Of the 4500 permanent positions how many of those will be held by Texans or U.S. Citizens ?  Those could all be held by foreign citizens.  You want to act like Biden is doing something good for Americans, but your article doesn't prove that.

No US funding for any of this.

Biden and Obama gave Iran all the money they needed for this assault and the Hamas assault on Israel.  We did give money to Israel to defend themselves.  Biden isn't going to help Israel at all if there is a full invasion.

I read the comics before the show started.......Black Adam ain't a new character made up for a movie......lol

I would bet 99% of those that saw the movie would say the same including those my age who didn't watch the movie.  You're one of the few I know that actually bought a Shazam comic book.  For all I know they created Shazam, because of Gomer Pyle.  I actually knew there was a comic about him, but never read one or picked one up to read.

Black Adam been Shazams enemy since at least the first Shazam comic........

I never read Shazam comic books.  Then again, I only read what my brother had with his 10 and 12 cent comic books which were Superman, Batman, Flash, Hawkman, and Spiderman.  Black Adam might have been around, but this is how I was introduced to Shazam :

Those are apples to oranges. You know dang good and well being  an influence in your kids will develop them into adults. It up to you if it good or bad example.

It's the same logic for many teenagers.  Heck, I had friends in Middle School 6-7 grade that would get into their parents liquor and gun cabinets.  If you don't think it happens with teenage boys in East Texas then you're wrong.
