  1. Hey look, harrier babbling on almost incoherently about Ron Paul and Ted Cruz not grovelling at his feet every chance he gets. What a shock

  3. There may not be, but one error doesn't change the fact that he is an upper tier first baseman defensively. Either way, this argument is moot unless they want to pony up even more cash for Chris Davis (probably in the realm of 6 years, 144 million) or someone else. The list, besides Davis is as such for free agents. Jeff Baker (35 yrs) Kyle Blanks (29) Edwin Encarnacion (33)- 8 million club option with 2 million buyout Corey Hart (34) Kelly Johnson (34) Garret Jones (35) Adam Lind (- 8 million club option with a 500k buyout Justin Moreneau (35) Mike Napoli (34) Byung-ho Park- Posted by KBO's Nexen Heroes Steve Pearce (33) Mark Reynolds (32) Sean Rodriguez (31) Chris Parmelee (28) Not exactly the biggest names or best talents to choose from, unless you choose Davis, which takes Napoli out of the mix and straps you financially
  4. Actually, Napoli has played 1B for 6 seasons, according to baseball-reference.com, and Moreland has less errors (20) than Napoli (31), plus a better fielding percentage, (.995 to .992), and Napoli has him beat in assists by 6, (307 to 301). The argument that he hasn't played 1B very long doesn't hold water, especially since he was playing there in the minors and fall leagues from 2000 to 2006. So, compared to Napoli, Moreland is the better defensive first baseman. Now, if we compare Chris Davis to Mitch Moreland, Davis's numbers are slightly better than Moreland's are projected to be, since he has been playing for 2 more years in the majors. Let's take 2015 stats though. Chris Davis had one less error, (4 to 3), on over 100 less chances, (938 to 1043). His assist numbers were also lower, (53 to 64), and the fielding percentages were almost identical, (.997 to .996). So, statistically, Moreland and Davis are the same defensively.
  5. I have plenty of knowledge to see for myself. I can make my own decisions, and his arm is accurate. You sure must be an insider to have all this knowledge about his demeanor on position changes.

  7. And Connor Mcdavid continues to play without a disruption from his dangerous hit
  8. I won't argue with most of your points. The defensive one is the only iffy statement for me. Moreland has a plus arm and glove. I wouldn't throw a fit if we picked up Davis, but I would have my reservations
  9. The worst was the dive that Letang took in the first. Not even close to a penalty
  10. That's honestly just preposterous. Give that man the Art Ross already. lol But seriously, he's been torrid
  11. It would be great, if you can deal with the strikeouts, and if he can deal with the pressure he felt of playing so close to home and hindered his performance.
  12. Tell that to the 2011 playoffs. Also, still hasn't had a full year in the last two. Patience is a virtue
  13. Seriously? You think you're going to be able to find an upgrade from that? I'm not sure there are too many 30 100 first basemen available this offseason.
  14. 1) Cal 2) Northwestern 3) Utah 4) Oklahoma 5) Texas 6) Auburn 7) Ole Miss 8) Clemson 9) Duke 10) Florida State *Tiebreaker: 85 total points
  15. I'm not sure if I would be as open to getting rid of Moreland with his bounce back year, but the reasoning in the rest of this is pretty logical. I would almost want to receive an "almost" major league ready first baseman and bullpen arm for Moreland.
  16. We need to see what Holland has to offer with a full year, if we get that before we jump ship with him
  17. Your assumption that everyone who makes it to the show knows and understands everything about it is more ridiculous than the claim that some don't.
  18. Exactly! Except, I'm pretty sure they would fish worse than either of those two
  19. I actually have a deal with one of the guys that I work with. His dad works on a ranch that raises beefalo, and we are able to split about 30 pounds of meat a year. We do get a sweet deal of course, but good lord that stuff is still expensive.
  20. I think we need to invest in a couple of rocking chairs for you two so you can yell at kids walking on your lawns :P
  21. See, I understand the words coherently enough. The meanings, not so much
