Congrats WH. I figured they'd blow it in the end, but they hung on. They have a good enough team to win a few playoff games. Hope they do it. Beating JT is nice, but a few playoff wins would be nicer.

This is the first year in the series that Whitehouse has actually had a better team than JT. Still don't think WH will win. JT is in their collective heads, and WH will find a way to lose.

How did LV get pulled into this? I am by no means a Lobo fan, but I wish they would win state just to shut up some of these characters from the peanut gallery. I would make no bets either way on WH this year.

If he play's this season like last season nobody is gonna care if he likes Aggieland or not. If the kid has a couple bad games though, watch the knives come out after him.

Its pretty simple recipe for WH to actually be a threat in the playoffs. 1. Some semblance of a defense. 2. A credible running threat beyond a QB scramble. If Coach Cook and his staff address those two issues, WH will climb up a few rungs from the accomplishments of the McFarlin teams.

Whitehouse football is going back where it was before McFarlin got there- the toliet. Bubba Gump will be hired from the nearest oil change estabilishment -he is highly qualified since he played him some football all the way up to the freshman level several years ago. For the $7.50 an hour they will pay him for a forty hour work week, he will be highly motivated. No more fancy notions about throwing the ball. Three offensive plays are enough-all runs up the gut. No OC needed. And just get you a bunch of big old boys on defense to clog up the trenches. Don't work'em on weights or long practices during the season-they need plenty of rest for game day. Yes sir, he will bring back the good ol' days of Whitehouse football! 1-9 and 2-8 records were good enough for Grandpa, they are good enough for me!

You are correct on both posts. Boehner wears panties and Shawn Hannity will say whatever he thinks will get him an audience. Can't stand either one of them.

I hope Whitehouse wins, but its not very likely. Anyway, the most important thing is that nobody gets hurt on either team so they are ready for their first round playoff games. I would much rather WH win a couple playoff games than win this one and then go lay a stink egg in the first round. Regardless of what happens, best of luck to Coach McFarlin. I have never been his biggest fan, but it sure has been fun during his tenure. I showed up in Whitehouse when they started to win a few games, and it was fun to see the kids and community so excited about football. I learned that WH had been a doormat forever so it was easy to see how fans got so excited and overzealous at times in their support. My favorite games were the playoff win at Frisco and the comeback win in the playoffs against SS. Lots of fun to watch a WH game win or lose. Good luck to both JT & WH in the playoffs and a big "Thank you" to Coach McFarlin and staff. Hope he gets to coach a few more games at Whitehouse.

Anybody that thinks WH is going to beat JT is either brain damaged or smoking doobies. Maybe doing both. The best WH can hope for is a good game like a couple years ago and maybe they will get some respect. A good game against JT would bode well for playoff success. That being said, in 5-10 years JT football success will be history. Tyler is growing and not in JT's backyard. WH will only get bigger and better. So will Lindale, Bullard as well as Grace and Brookhill.

The team that was prepared won. Whitehouse thought they were all that and a bag of chips. That Poteet team did not have much talent at all. They did have a ton of heart, fight and a very good coach. Whitehouse did get upset another time by West Mesquite a couple years before.

Best of luck to Coach McFarlin. He deserves a lot better than the treatment he is getting from the district. I agree the WH job is a great opportunity for a good young coach but I doubt the current administration has the brains to pick a qualified candidate. You can bet they will hire somebody's brother-in-law that is about as qualified as I am to coach those kids. WH is going back to being everybody's homecoming queen after this season. That's really sad after all the progress that has been made on McFarlin's watch. Hope I am wrong, but I have yet to see these people make one good decision regarding the classroom let alone the playing field.

I think Whitehouse will win big. If Carthage wins, it will be because Carthage is better, but nothing so far this season indicates Carthage is better. I don't mind eating crow, I've had crow, pidgeon, squirrel, possum and nutria. All good eatin. Raccoon can be good too but you have to soak it in brine water for a couple days first.
