  1. Whoever said Malone, even though he is semi retired, is correct... Malone... Hands down...
  2. Congrats to both teams! Glad Diana was able to pull it out in the end though... Union Grove had a little lefty that did a pretty good job of keeping Diana off balance, but I guess it was only enough to almost win... Good game guys!
  3. You are right, it does take exellent hand eye coordination to hit a baseball, and steroids don't effect that... however, they can make the difference between warning track power and the ball clearing that wall... I also heard something about Aaron will not be there to see Barry break his record? If so, sounds like he has alot of respect for the way the game should be played. I am also tired of hearing Bonds saying stuff like "Ruth didn't have to put up with what I go through with the media". Roger Maris put up with as much, if not more the year he was going to break Ruth's record. The guy started losing his hair! because he was under so much stress for christ's sake. Just for the record cheating is cheating, doesn't matter how many times you do it, or if you """didn't know""". It is a disgrace to the game of baseball. P.S. Come on, you are using a quote on Bonds from David Ortiz? I think we can find someone with a little more.. umm.. in depth thoughts on the issue... maybe? ;)
  4. Buckeye, the reason he went to NY is because he has several of his really good friends (Pettite and Torre) in that organization, and has strong ties to several other players. He simply stated that that was the main reason he was heading up there. He went up there for them, and if Torre is gone, then he has no desire to play for another manager.
  5. wdh, everyone hates to admit they are wrong and i was too, good luck dangerfield and harelton....
  6. Clemens is argueably the greatest pitcher of all time. He has several friends in the Yankees organization, and he obviously believes he can help them. I wish that Clemens had come back to the Astros this season, but he didn't. Clemens has a God-given ability to play this game, and a better work ethic and greater passion for his trade and the game then probably all of the people on this thread combined. Roger Clemens will play this season for the Yankees, and he will do well, despite what some of you want, because he is the kind of person that does not accept failure.
  7. No, I am saying that it was a scrimmage... a game that is to warm up, where you can try players that usually don't get to play, and see what you've got... that is why it was a tie... I just think that HS has a better team ( and yes I have seen both teams play). But first we will have to see how far each of these teams makes it in the playoffs.
  8. 1. Scrimmage is the key, they tied in a scrimmage. 2. HS has more than likely become a more solid team than at the first of the season as well.. it might be a good game.. but I just see HS being victorious.. but who knows.. maybe if they play Harleton will prove me wrong..
  9. Love Clemens.. Dislike the Yanks.. hate to see him go back, but I hope he does well. Can't wait to see how he does in the AL again..
  10. Harleton is a good team.. pretty solid all around.. but crewcut is right, if HS and Harleton play, HS will win. Hooks also has a great team this year.. it will be a long hard ride through the playoffs this year for Harleton. Also, D-Field was in HS district this year correct? I couldn't remember. And best of luck to D-Field in their next series...
  11. I know you weren't taking a shot.. I should have just done this anyways... o well... my favorite 5 pitchers are... Roger Clemens Greg Maddux Sandy Koufax Nolan Ryan Bob Gibson In no particular order...
  12. You are right crewcut.. Hughes Springs is going to be tought to beat.. They have good pitching and extremely good hitting (that McKinney boy can flat out play).. Is Hooks really that good this year? I haven't heard much about them.
  13. I am talking about seeing them pitch.. don't care how you saw them.. i am just wondering who are your favorite ones to watch pitch.. not just your favorite...
  14. I am a huge Astros fan.. but the only place we are rolling right now is down the standings.. :(
  15. Ok.. so who are everyone's favorite 5 pitchers to watch pitch right now, and your favorite 5 that you've seen all time?
