Jett got mad that an outsider commented last time on a Winona thread tiger1995 don’t you know he knows EVERYTHING! I feel sorry for the coaches and people in Winona that gotta have someone like that as a fan lol. Y’all are arguing with a guy that openly admitted he was a QUITTER!!!!

I just stated the facts and records when you stated how athletic y’all are and coaching changes. You don’t have to be from Winona or a coach at all to see that records show that Winona isn’t some power house from an outsider looking in and the one game I saw this year i wouldn’t be calling for a coaching change. I don’t know you, your staff or your players but I’ve seen them play. Your 4-2 and acting like your 0-6. Like I said good luck man on yalls season. Get after arp make a push in playoffs and no one will care that y’all lost to stoneys eagles

I may not know yalls kids or seen as many games as you have but I have seen yall play once this year and I've been around coaching long enough to know things go on behind closed doors that fans and spectators have no clue about. Countless hours and time away from family while you and other just go to a game on friday night and pick it apart and go back to your families with no problems. Goodluck with yalls season!

But according to you Winona is rich with athletes and ALWAYS put them on the field until this coaching staff right? Now I don’t know you I don’t know any of the guys on staff but reading your ludicrous comments made me investigate some facts. Since 2000-2013 before this head coach took over y’all were 40-99 with these greats you talk about of the past. With no more than six wins in a season. Yalls ad and staff now has half has many wins in 10 and half less seasons! He is 24-28 with a 7 win and an 8 win season and two wins away this year from having yet another 6 plus win season yet your barking for a change? I saw on another thread where you said you graduated in 2010 now on this thread your talking bout how these kids don’t lift like y’all did or watch film or practice like y’all did but let’s see in 2010 your senior year you went 1-9 your junior year you went 2-8 and your sophomore year you went 6-4 and freshman year 4-6! So facts tell me your whole high school career you had one winning season and 13 total wins with all the great athletes! These kids 4 years of school they have 23 and counting! Now your going say well your an outsider looking in and I don’t know what I’m talking bout and that’s fine but facts don’t lie. Keep in mind your a spectator so do just that spectate brother and let that staff do their job if you don’t like how they are doing it go to college get your degree to be a coach and go turn that program into a dynasty like Carthage and newton! This should be a good game. If y’all are saying San Augustine in a huge one you better be bold about it. San Augustine lost a good qb and a great rb! This isn’t the same big sandy defense as last year either. They return khameron pippins a 2k yard rusher last year who is a bruiser I also heard he is playing a little defense this year. They also return two 150 plus tackle linebackers one who is being mentioned as a top 50 recruit in Texas for the class of 2020. I’m not saying big sandy will win but I wouldn’t say wolves in a land slide either. I expect big Sandy’s key players to fight this one out

I’m picking harmony. New Diana lost the stud qb and harmony returns some key players even though they lost Seahorn.

Don’t sleep on como pickton. They handled 3a winnsboro 3-1 in scrimmage and then scored 24 or so in quitman in a live quarter that was supposed to be a live half until they called it quits in the first quarter! If I remember correctly the grand saline quitman game was not just a blow out last year. So I wouldn’t sleep on como right now. Grand saline will have size on them but both teams I believe will smash heads Friday. Give me como in this one!

I don't see how you can say quitmans defense is playing good enough! If you watch any of their games the only time they are stopping anyone is late in the game around the fourth quarter when opposing teams have their back ups in. If I'm not mistaken, besides big sandy, Quitman has only scored in the fourth quarter when opposing team has back ups in! So to say they will win two or three district games is absurd! Also here is some facts about this so called "tough" schedule they have!! TK Gorman 5-0 Quitman 0-5 eustace 3-2 Troup 1-4 Shelton 0-5 Prince of Peace 3-2 Rains 4-1 Quitman 0-5 Mt Vernon 1-4 Cooper 2-3 Farmersville 4-1 Sabine 1-4 Winnsboro 4-1 Quitman 0-5 S Hill 0-5 Lone Oak 0-5 Sabine 1-4 Mineola 5-0 Caddo Mills 5-0 Quitman 0-5 Boles 0-5 Lone Oak 0-5 Palmer 0-5 Community 3-2 Big Sandy 4-1 Quitman 0-5 Rivercrest 1-4 Como Pickton 1-4 Carlisle 5-0 Alba-Golden 4-1 So with those facts, opponents are 22-3 but they have 17 wins against teams that are a combined 4 and 66. quitman played a much weaker non district schedule than any team in the district!!

No I def didn't interview but I'd gladly take that job to prove a point that I could take that program and turn it around. I know what it takes to win and I saw what those past coaches did to make winners and athletes. And yeah I get plenty of bitterness built up and if you only knew why you wouldn't be talking. And choosing better ads? The last two ads they chose have had losing records and haven't turned the program around. I know se of them kids wanna win and it ain't fair to them for them to keep losing. As for the community that's y it don't hurt my feelings for quitman to be losing cause the community is getting what they ask for

It's what I hear and shack also had great coaching staff. The kids enjoyed playing for them. Back then kids knew what it was like to win they saw age groups in front win and they wanted be a bulldog. They expected to win. These kids don't know what it's like to win they lost that tradition. Winning isn't everything those coaches taught life lessons they taught how to win at life.

quitman has been bad since Shackelford left. They had one more good year but that was because McNeal was there. Quitman don't carry themselves with the same attitude. They forgot how to win. Idk how they are 0-7 though with a d1 athlete

it dont matter who they brought in its too late now to work with the kids. they could bring in the winningest coach and he wouldnt know the athletes like shack did and thats important when you have limited talent.

there is some support but the school board is too busy trying to run things. All they care bout and the community is if little johnny is getting to play even though little johnny may not deserve it. Let the coaches do their job well its too late for that really they already got the ad out so to answer your question there is some support from a couple of people but watch the school board and principle the people will stab you in the back and try to run the program

Coaching is in shacks blood he loves to do it. If he didnt you wouldnt see him pacing up and down the sideline the whole game. He loves the kids and he works hard for them. What he wants is to coach and to keep influencing kids lives he cant do that as assistance to superentident. I dont care who they bring in, they wont have as much passion for these kids as shack does. I think this is going to hurt the kids bringing someone in so late and taking their coach they have know for so long away from them and their conforft zone knowing the plays the school didnt take the kids into consideration they just let the school board get their way. How can you fire someone that over 400 people signed a petition to keep him? Im stumped just dont make no sense.
