Quitman and Grand Saline play in Gladewater at 4 pm Monday afternoon. Then the winner of that will play Winnsboro (who got the bye from the coin flip) 30 minutes following the first game. Will be an exciting night in district 20-2a.

Hayes had his first debut last night against Alba-Golden. He threw extremely well, only giving up two hits. I'm not quite sure how many strikeouts he had, but I know he struck out probably everyone in the lineup at least once. Now that he is back, he is going to be a huge help to the dogs with his arm and definitely his bat.

they played Quitman.... Quitman won 47-14.

Quitman 38 Sabine 6 Quitman should take it easy..... that is only if they play their game and not like they did against Mineola.

this is true though..... We did play better without Tex when he was hurt. So maybe this could be a good thing. It could be exciting to get young good players like Marlon Byrd, Nelson Cruz, Travis Metcalf, and Jason Botts and watch them develop and maybe we'll be a playoff contender next year. We may be the next Tigers. Remember they and then got good young players and see where that took them. World Series.

I hate Jon Daniels....he's an idiot

The Texas Rangers traded CF Kenny Lofton to the Cleveland Indians for Class A Catching prospect, Max Ramirez. This is Jon Daniels first move for the Rangers before the Non-waiver Trade Deadline on July 31.

Akinori Otsuka just got out of a jam in the bot. of the 8th. he got two outs quickly then gave a walk up and then a base hit. With Ken Griffy coming up. Jr. hit a solid shot at first base but Brad Wilkerson was there. Way for the defense to step up in a tight spot. Especially since defense hasnt been one of our strong holds this season.
