Gary Jordan from Bullard is the New Band Director for the Pride of Pittsburg. He started today and held a meeting today with Band Parents and others. Went Very well, he already has the music selected for this upcoming year, and everything ready for the Majorettes! Sounds like he's ready to go. Good Luck!

Pittsburg started interviewing monday, one man from bullard was the first one for them to look at.... They have many that want it, they are looking over them for the best one. Another band director that lives in New Boston and was the band director, or is, at dekab have also applied

I would like to see it happen too, but i also agree with ya that it would be hard to get it going. I just don't see it happening for a long time. Too much happens when we play them. Even this year when we had to play mount pleasant in soccer!! That was not pretty after the game. We are just too close with too much rivalry. Dust has to settle. Maybe gilmer, daingerfield questionable - it got way out of hand in 04-05, Mount pleasant i know we are not allowed to play together in football. Last time we played mount pleasant was in 1993, things got way out of hand and i never see it coming back together.

as you can see from my stats on pittsburg's playoff runs below... Pitt has had a big time basketball program for over 9 years, "they lost most of what they had" - I don't think they played but only 4 years, the guys you are talking about. If he was leaving, coaches would be wanting to be a part of the winning program very badly!!

I believe you have the position wrong.... it is the head baseball coach that is leaving!

Great Season Pirates!!! Don't let this game over shadow your great season. You guys beat some great ranked teams this year! You had to play a lot of games in the playoff too, that can wear a team down. The Pirates played 11 playoff games to the Hawks' 5!! That says a lot about a good team! Proud of you boys and coaches. Pittsburg lost game 1 in district against Pleasant Grove 7-8 and won the last game in District against PG 8-4. PG is led by their Jr. pitcher Michael Wacha Pitt is led by their pitcher's - Jr. Jared Duncan - Jr. Clayton Ferguson - Fr. Saul Martinez - and Sr. Brett Cheek All had winning games in the playoffs vs. ranked teams

speaking of fan pride.... in football next year I heard we are getting a train horn and a real live college cannon... to go with our big blow up run through and helmet, two large running flags, 4 flags P-I-T-T, turf football field, large @#* field house, and entrence way! Thats not over doing it is it!!! :happy65: Love our Football!

Pittsburg does have the best fans.... in football and basketball this year Pittsburg's fans out numbered every other team in the stands, full in every playoff game no matter how far....against Spring Hill, Canton, and Celina in all football games. In basketball it was packed in tyler, longview, and commerce!!! PITT PRIDE IS THE BEST.

ok....thanks for the pick, but Pittsburg only has 5,000. Pitt was not even picked to make the playoffs...so pittsburg has brought a big crowd even with those reasons. No, a lot were not parents are friends... a lot, a lot were just... people, some that have never even been to a game all year. I was surprised and happy to see them. You guys did play a great series tho, congrats to wakeland too.

Pittsburg had more fans than Frisco did every night in Rockwall. Brought a LARGE crowd to the game vs. Gilmer at NTCC. Read over 730 in the paper at that game.

at least us Pirate fans only have to drive 8 miles compaired to PG's 79! Big crowd for PITT.
