  1. I was told last night by a player that this game is in Corsicana, but I haven't seen anything official.
  2. Just curious if any SDCers were fortunate enough to get ahold of World Series tickets first hand. The prices from the Rangers weren't bad, but second-hand they are seeing increases by the hundreds and thousands of dollars. Anyone out there willing to pay that kind of dough? I personally can't see myself paying a small fortune to some person that is simply seeing dollar signs and trying to take advantage of it, but I'm sure plenty will. Besides, the wife and I just got a big, new TV! Anyone elses thoughts on the scarcity of tickets in the beginning and the now obscene price tags? And to those lucky ones that will be in attendence, enjoy it. History will be made. Go Rangers!
  3. JTate: In a nutshell, it's a camaraderie thing. The "claw" is basically a long-range air high five from the dugout to a player on the field. The claw is usually seen after a player gets a hit and is safely on base. The Antlers are given to signify speed. Most antlers are seen after successful steals and close plays on the basepaths, sometimes a defensive player earns them by using his speed to make a great play. It all really boils down to these guys having a good time playing baseball as a team. Go Rangers!
  4. On the contrary, I would think that both SF and Phillie care alot about the Rangers-Yankees series and are probably rooting for NY to win a couple to stretch the series out and prevent the Rangers from getting a full week of rest. That dude needs an attitude adjustment. Just my 2 cents. Go Rangers!
  5. Cheapy, you will have to forgive me for not currently seeing rainbows, butterflies and unicorns when I look at my team. A 17-16 record since the break will do that to a man. Not to mention a 6-10 record in August. I'm not throwing in the towel, I'm just disgusted at the current product that the Rangers are bringing.
  6. Very interesting little piece of info there Slinky. The division is downright awful this year. Am I the only one who is ready to admit that the wheels are falling off???
  7. Ron Washington should be kicked in the groin every time he considers bringing in Francisco. We would all fare better in the long run.
  8. So awesome that Ryan/Greenberg won. They were very deserving and I think they will be great MLB owners. Does anyone know the process now that they are out of the courtroom? How long until the club is officially handed over? Will there be a pre-game ceremony to introduce the new owners?? I haven't been to a game in a month or so and that would be one that I could not miss! GO RANGERS!
  9. That was the most beautiful hit I have ever heard. Was in left field Sunday evening and as soon as I heard it, I knew it was gone. I've been personal witness to many homeruns and for the most part they all have a very familiar ring, but the one that Josh hit Sunday was different. I don't really know how to describe it. Amazing.
  10. I almost made it to the tipoff, saw everyone gathering around the Longhorn, then nothing. Anyone know of a streaming radio feed? Of course, odds are that it suffered the same fate as the FSSW feed.
  11. Is anyone watching the web feed?? I was watching the previous game and then the Yates/Lancaster pre-game came on and it kept pausing to buffer and now nothing! I'm really hating my foolish decision to not go to Austin this year. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
  12. It was the first game this morning. Cayuga won 66-60 in OverTime. Awesome game. Congrats to Cayuga.
