  1. Tenaha's trophies from the past wont help them beat Lovelady right now. Ill just look at last years results, and LL winning every JV game this year by 40, including a couple 3A schools. Should cover them for the next couple of years.
  2. I am also pretty familiar with the place....unless Groveton has become so undisciplined as a program, school district, and community, or the parents are now soft, I see no reason why an old school, "buttkicker" of a coach wouldn't be good for the place. If you want the culture "revived", that is exactly what you are going to need. The successful coaches of the past were exactly that in Groveton Texas. I full well believe that Groveton can handle someone that expects a lot of their kids, and will push them out of their comfort zone.
  3. As long as Lovelady and Mart are in the region, Tenaha will be limited in what they can do.
  4. I don’t know….This doesn’t sound like Groveton folks. This has disgruntled “move in parent” vibes all over it after the move in didn’t go as planned for them. Either that or outsider coach with an Axe to grind. Either way, it’s pretty silly.
  5. exactly.......we could give two rips about 7 on 7. prefer 11 on 11 around here in which you can touch the other team.
  6. That's funny, because yesterday, you were a "huntsville_dad". Another Lie. Sheesh, you may need to move out of town. The locals probably suspect who you are already, giving the fact that this isn't how Lovelady folks act. You will stand out like a sore thumb if you really do have kids there. Which is probably another lie. What a slapjob.
  7. then why is your photo from field level? No photos or video from the stands? There is no evidence that I am a liar sir. You have provided evidence that you are in fact one.
  8. What a coward, and drama filled piece of crap you must be. Someone new to the area, who doesn't know much about Lovelady, I'm guessing. If you were, you would know that Lovelady could care less about 7 on 7. We put an emphasis on football with pads. The photo you showed doesn't show them "coaching" or doing anything really. Its very weak honestly. If this is your best evidence of wrongdoing, I doubt your letter will garner much traction. So you have resorted posting online to try and cause a stir where there isn't one. Yesterday, you were using an fake account called "huntsville_dad" and today you are "John Smith." I was at that tournament watching my kid, They were in the end zone for all three games under a tent. There are lies in your letter right off the bat. Makes your whole accusation lack credibility. If your a mad mom or dad whos son didn't get to play enough, tell him to get better. If your are an opposing coach that we beat really bad, get better. Just bottom line get better. This is pretty pathetic.
  9. True, if Mart forces them to. Good thing that have thrown for over 1000 yds this year. They have the capability. But when getting 11 per carry against a Team like Tenaha, they aren’t going to throw it. No reason to.
  10. There are reasons for the Deweyville scores too. Bottom line is they don’t mean Jack. Lovelady vs. Mart. Both are playing well, both are battling through some bumps and bruises. They will settle it on the field Friday in Athens.
  11. That group for the most part stayed on JV this year except for a few standouts that played up. They were undefeated and not even remotely tested. They smoked everyone willing to play them, including at least one 3A school(New Waverly).
  12. It was a little bit of both from the looks of it.
  13. Grapeland was young last year. They seem to be improved and have some new kids out that haven't been out in the past. Lovelady has some talent back as well, but are trying to settle into their groove. Just a matter of when that happens. If its this week, they should get another W. They are fast and physical and close on the ball well. The entire O-line is back and all of last years RB's. Receiving corps are very capable. Should be a great team down the stretch. Grapeland has some talent and some big kids. They could make problems for people this year. Hopefully, it wont be this week.
