  1. I did see Case play against Pittsburg in the 3a semi's. Pittsburg had better athletes and Graham won. I still wasn't sold on him and I still don't think he needed a Texas offer. Overstreet was moved to RB, where we already had great depth, because he couldn't hit the wide side of a barn 20 yards away. His accuracy was terrible. Brewer has a weak arm and is not very mobile. Reminds me alot of Case. He may very well start at Arizona, doesn't mean he'll end up being a good QB. I'm not going to sit around for another year just to see if he is. There was a reason Jeff Driskell was an elite 11 QB, and he stinks. There was a reason that Mitch Mustain was an elite 11 QB and he stunk. Garrett Gilbert was POY I believe, as was Mustain. Your argument that Brewer is a really good college QB because he was an elite 11 QB holds no water. Lots of QBs were elite 11 and never panned out or were just average players in college. Was Colt McCoy an elite 11 QB????
  2. How do you know he is actually a good QB? He only played against our defense in the spring game. He couldn't beat McCoy out for the Backup job. I doubt he proves anything at Arizona.
  3. I have to disagree with you about Jackson. he was burnt repeatedly in the passing game against Oregon State. The screen game ate him up as well. I agree with you on the stable of RBs. They have the talent to wear down teams with fresh legs all game. I have to disagree with you on Connor Brewer. He didn't have a great arm and was as mobile as McCoy. I hate they didn't give Swoopes any game time the other night. With Ash and his head injury, we are 1 hit away from his career being over and having only 2 QBs, McCoy and Swoopes. Even if it was Swoopes at QB with the diamond formation to utilize all the RBs they have. He may not have had to throw the ball in that situation. I am starting to agree with you about Applewhite. He just doesn't seem to catch on to the flow of the game and gets stuck in doing what the original gameplan seemed to be. Gray should've had more carries. Brown only get 3-4 touches a game and half of them are 3rd down screens. He is just as predictable as Harsin with how he uses his backs.
  4. You always call folks butthurt and say "obsession noted", but yet you can't pass up the opportunity to post in a thread about Texas. It must #### to have your rival embedded in your brain the way you do. I bet when you lay down at night and close your eyes you can see the Longhorn emblem in your sleep. I'd rather be MIA as you call me sometimes than to have what you have. We finally have a diagnosis for you.....Longhorn OCD.
  5. Much like at BYU when Mack couldn't step in a help Manny fix the problems, Mack couldn't/wouldn't step in and tell Major to run the dang ball. Major didn't adjust the game plan to what advantages he found as the game went along and Mack could've asked/told him to adjust.
  6. aTm offered him http://rivals.yahoo.com/texas/football/recruiting/player-Case-McCoy-70705;_ylt=AlLH1fTui.3_EDAex_GLxhLrt5B4
  7. Please, don't think in any way I was defending Brown. I just said he was the only one saying that. I and everybody else know that is as funny as an aggy joke
  8. not one Texas fan here has said they could win the Big 12. Heck I haven't seen a one on any message board say that. The only person I've seen say Texas can win the Big 12 was Mack Brown. Troll
  9. I agree, Edmond being out only benefits the defense. He should be 4th string DT. I saw the video of the tire drill and he looked so clumsy. I feel the rest of the LB's poor play have been more about pitiful play call and out of position than anything. It seems that GR is just simplifying the D and letting the LBs just read-react. IF the Horns win out, I'll still think it is time for Mack to go.
  10. They weren't that good last year either. Good Coaching can overcome inferior talent, but bad coaching can overcome superior talent also.
  11. I understood what you meant. I also agree. I don't particularly like James either, but he may become a wealthier man over this.
  12. I'll take the Rams in a close one.
  13. I have a real good friend in coaching. He told me the same thing.
  14. I don't sit on the computer for weeks at the time like some folks here. I have other obligations in my life
  15. It's taken this long to get True70KingofHenderson06 to understand what I was saying, and he still doesn't get it. Go back and read some of the reast of the thread....
  16. Why is it your favorite part? He said "good showings against elite teams"!!!!! Those were the only 4 teams on their schedule that at some time have been considered elite. Those other games were against mediocre teams. Pay closer attention to what is being discussed so you know whether you should join the conversation or not, bud. It was about aTm's defense. I said they wouldn't be able to make Bama punt twice, which btw I was wrong. They did punt twice. aTm's offense is legit, we all know that. However, IMO it was their defense that lost the game. Each time you score 42 points you should win, unless your defense can't hold the other team from scoring 43 or more. If having common sense means you are on fire, You and True are Fire Retardent.
