In response to that CH speed post, Carthage has speed as well. You negate defensive speed by running right at it and cramming the ball down their throat. Just ask Hunter Holland, his offensive line and the Brownwood defense.....

Carthage has lost All State type Linemen each season, offensive and defensive. They always manage to put together a sold front 4 on defense and a solid 5 OL and a good TE yearly. I think they have the talent every year, but their OL and DL coaches are really good at what they do. After 08 I thought they'd take a step back after losing some of those hosses they had, but they just plugged in more OL's and kept on winning titles. They are doing something right. Brantley will be missed, but someone will step in and get coached up.

I wouldn't guarantee you beat La Tech this fall. I'll give you SHSU and SCst as gimmes. aTm should beat SMU. aTm should beat Mississippi. Those "out of 5 teams" you are talking about beating 2 of......I think the Aggies will be underdogs in all 5 games, even the home games. I think it is possible the Ags finish that 7-5 you are talking about, but that is barely bowl eligible with SHSU as a win. WElcome to the big 12

I'm saying that Tech should've never gotten to the point where they have to lobby for decent TV coverage or gripe about being on something like the LHN. They should've stood up to the James family and kept their program going in the right direction....best for the school. Had they done that they'd still be relevant and even the Texas State game would've been picked up by FSSW at least. I'm talking about the seasons without Leach. That is proving to be a killer fire for the Red Raiders.

Have you not read all of my post DA??? I have said repeatedly that I pull for all the TExas schools, including aTm. I w ant them all to succeed, just that aTm decreased their chances of that success by joining the SEC. I thought you said it was a pipe dream!!!
