  1. That first reason you speak of wouldn't have happened if the other nine schools in the Big 12, including OU and aTm, hadn't agreed to allowing Texas to do it in the Big 12. There is your answer. I don't care either, but quit throwing it all on Texas because all of the other 9 teams agreed to it.
  2. Both conferences had 6 schools listed with one of the being repeat offenders. Of the Big 12's, 1 of them was in a NC in the last 10 years. Of the SEC's, 2 of them won NCs in the last 10 years. I guess the Big 12 schools don't know how to capitalize on the recruiting violations!!!!! Lol
  3. Seems me and you agree on this. ESPN is pushing the LHN because it spent too much money.
  4. One recruit just decommitted for OK state. How much does aTm stand to get as the 13th team in the SEC???? It is an unknown. ESPN/ABC sports has already said they probably wouldn't renegotiate the SEC contract with it expiring in 2025(?). Those aren't delusions. Every argument aTm makes comes back to them agreeing to the LHN in the Big 12, then finding out it was worth so much and not liking it.
  5. It all comes down to aTm running away from you know who. First it was the Network showing HS games. NCAA ruled against it. End of story. Then ESPN went to talking about HS highlights...NCAA is still ruling on that one. Doubt it happens. That will be the end of the story. Have you ever thought that ESPN is the one pushing this network the hardest? They do have $300million on the line. I think the LHN either does one of two things. Forces Independence, which the powers as Texas are against, or the LHN dies/restructures as a Big 12 network. Aggies biggest problem with the network is that they didn't do it first, Texas beat them to it and it is worth $300million.
  6. So you are looking at a bunch of violations that occurred when SMU was a national power in the SWC or the Aggies actually won a bowl game. I'm talking the most recent 10 years. Not to mention the buying of a Heisman and a NC last fall.
  7. Like What I say will scare aTm back into the Big 12.....LOL. I just see the writing on the wall for the Aggies. They don't see it because they are so obsessed with anti-Longhorn sentiment that leaving the conference becasue something the Longhorns have done is blinding them. They are still trying to win their first bowl game in several years. In the SEC they will be trying to get to a bowl game every year.
  8. It was known for 1-2 years the Longhorns were wanting their own network. Dodds even said he pitched it to aTm as a Lonestar Network and it was declined by the Ags. They had known it was going to happen and the other teams in the conference knew of their interest in doing so. So it wasn't like it blindsided the Ags. I'm not acting about a golden boy, just pony up and take your own bit of the blame. but Freshman Fish Camp has told you otherwise. Blame it on Texas..... Don't blame it on me. - Mark Chesnutt. He must have been an Aggie. Everybody Does it. Sure!!!
  9. Probably not. We'll find out they aren't happy in the SECSECSEC in about 10 years. Point is, they won't be happy ever.
  10. Is that why the NFL has just implemented a salary cap that has a minimum roster salary???
  11. PO'd? why? It would create a level playing field for teams that have Higher academic standards and tougher admissions in you're conference. It wouldn't allow LSU to recruit guys that can't spell SEC or know the difference between Thomas Jefferson and George Jefferson. That is the reason you would be Po'd correct? I'm for equal revenue sharing, it's only right, just don't tell someone you can do something (LHN) and then cite that as the very reason you are PO'd and leaving. Makes you look like a whiny baby. So you'd agree to Texas in the SEC with improved academic/admission standards and equal revenue???
  12. WRong!!!! The Big 12 was renewed as a 10 team conference long before UT and ESPN agreed on the $300million. At the time the conference was renewed was when the conference AGREED to let schools pursue their own sales of the third tier rights. I'm not crying, just wanting to know why when TExas does something for their best interest it is killing the conference, but when aTm leaves it is just to better themselves. They are the team that put the Big 12 under 10 teams and voided a very good contract. Don't point the fingers at anybody when you are just as much to blame.
  13. Texas is looking out for their best interest. But when aTm says that is what they are doing it's not killing a conference. It's just improving their situation. I'm not understanding this. How is it Texas' fault when they are the ones trying to hold the Big 12 together??? I think it is funny that aTm's future depend's on Baylor, and Texas gets the blame. I think it's funny that aTm is the one leaving/running away and TExas gets the blame. You are a tiger fan right? I see you SEC chanters stick together. I'd stick up for them too because everybody wants a little brother to whoop up on.
  14. Hypothetical....what would you say if the SEC offered UT an invitation with stipulations that allows Texas things they want (no partial qualifiers, raised academic standards for conference)????
  15. Why do they want to save it? Because there is a good deal on the table for the Big 12 with a new contract that aTm is leaving. Keeping it at 10 teams is a positive for any team in the Big 12. aTm is leaving so they can come out of the phone booth in a set of SEC tights and a red cape and rescue themselves, but from what? The Aggies leaving because they are mad at and hate Texas is killing the contract and the Big 12.
  16. So 3 schools leave the Big 12 and it's TExas' fault the Big 12 is tumbling??? They are the one trying to actively keep it together now. OU and OSU are looking to jump ship with Texas talking to them about staying. What's that they say about Greener grass on the other side of the fence? The Aggies will find out soon enough. The LHN is the problem most people are saying, but if OU or aTm were offered $300million for a network do you think they would've asked the Big 12's permission to accept it??? I think not.
  17. I think GG is the most gifted of the TExas QBs, but the thing he lacks is field vision and "it". Some have "it" some don't. He has lost the team also, they do not rally with him. Jaxon Shipley said the team rallied around McCoy saying that McCoy was confident in the huddle and told his team he would lead them to paydirt. They had faith in him and the offense looked more enthused when McCoy and Ash were taking the snaps.
  18. Funny thing, Baylor could compete and possibly win the CUSA. Where you are going just being bowl eligible will be exciting.
  19. I think the LHN is dead in the water unless Texas goes independant. Pac-12 won't have it, nor will the big 10 and the SEC. They were practically begging folks to order it during the commercial breaks. I know the Aggies and others are mad at Texas, not so much for having the network, but for what the content and games to be aired. I personally think the problem with the Network is ESPN is involved. They have a $300million investment and they want to cash in on it as much as they can. They want as many games broadcast, HS stuff aired, etc. that would appeal to the public. Their pushing of these things has caused problems and is the main problem IMO. If they network would've been locally driven/operated it wouldn't have been such a problem. It would've still been a profitable deal for UT. ESPN is out to make a buck anyway they can and they don't care if it is in UT's best interest. That is why they are still trying to pursue the HS athletics avenue. TExas should break ties with ESPN and work with the remaining big 12 teams to create a Big 12 network. It would keep a great conference alive, allow games to be aired that might not otherwise be shown and promote growth in the big 12. I am a huge Longhorn fan, but I think this is the writing on the wall. If TExas truly doesn't want to go indy, break all ties with ESPN on the network and work with the Big 12 to create a conference network.
  20. I would like to see Bergeron worked in there as well. He is a beast as well. McNamara was extremely surehanded in the spring game, why hasn't he played the least bit as a possession type receiver???
  21. I personally think the defense will be better when they are blitzing as much. When they stayed in their base D they made stops. When they blitzed the kitchen sink it opened up holes in the defense. I like blitzing, just timed blitzes. Offense seems to click a little better when Gilbert is wearing the head set. McCoy/Shipley 2.0 will be pretty good, but I don't think you sideline Ash either. He needs some snaps too. I fully expected Shipley to step in and be the go-to guy after watching him against Carthage last fall. Man he is good. Overall I think the team still needs tons of work and Manny Diaz doesn't have to be so aggressive. It's time for Mack to get comfortable with a bunch of young'uns playing a lot.
  22. I don't know why it has taken them to the second half to start riding Malcolm Brown for two games. He is there for a reason, run him. Mix in Bergeron too.
  23. I understand BYU is better than Rice, but all the way around Texas looks terrible. I think Diaz blitzes too much and puts too much heat on a young secondary.
  24. I would rotate McCoy and Ash and see which one gets the hot hand. The playbook opens up more with Ash though. Was it this bad last week???
