  1. the idea that the SEC was interested in aTm is about as funny as the Mizzou telling everybody they'd join the Big 10 if offered. However, Mizzou wasn't wanted by the big 10 nor was aTm wanted by the SEC by themselves.....only if Texas came.
  2. can you provide a link showing that the SEC and aTm actually "got serious" with their talks? The only releases I've read or seen on TV said that the SEC was interested in Texas.....and that they would "consider" Texas A&M. Once Texas said no the SEC talks died down. Please show us the links.
  3. Mizzou : Thank you Texas for keeping us in a league above our talent, and in the rich Texas recruiting. Kansas: Thank you....there for a minute I thought our basketball team was joining the WAC. Iowa State : Geez, thanks Texas. I thought we were going to the WAC too. Baylor : We need to be where you are Texas aTm: as they stick there chest out....."We don't go where Texas does. WE can go on our own.... Where do we sign?" Tech: Can we join the north???? PPPLLLLeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaasssssseee?????? OU: see you in Dallas...regardless Ok. state: Big 12, Pac-25 whatever 12 in a row to Texas stinks anyway you look at it..Thanks Texas.
  4. Go ahead Aggy, join the SEC. you won't see a bowl game again. Aggy better stay right where they are.
  5. I keep thinking about the time Chykie Brown kept Dez Bryant in check in Austin. Brown is a decent CB and held him to 6 catches for 74 yds. I don't think Bryant will be an outstanding Rec. in the NFL. He'll be another Roy Williams, a player with loads of talent that just doesn't ever translate to the field.
  6. Something for you Aggys to gnaw on.......aTm played Georgia in a bowl game. Georgia was as average as they have been in a while. For one half Sherman ran the ball primarily and the score was close. The second half started with a more urgent playcalling as if aggy was behind and trying to catch back up. More of the game was placed on JJ and the game got out of hand quickly. Oklahoma State played Georgia and beat them with Zac Robinson at the helm..... Sherman should've stuck with running the ball the second half. With that said I am not saying Zac Robinson is a better QB. In fact, JJ has a better skill set IMO except for the running ability. And there is nothing wrong with JJ's scrambling ability. I am just saying that some QBs have "it" when "it" matters. When the load is thrown on the shoulders, it bears them down and they don't perform. That will be the reason JJ doesn't draft high next year. He won't handle the load when it matters. Now before anybody gives me that "well he sure performed against Texas" bull jive......Fuller made some out of this world catches in tight double coverage on ill advised throws. Fuller is the best player on Aggys team.
  7. Okay, so 5 months ago you were saying the Texas defense was bad because aggy scored @40 pts on them and that McCoy was all Texas had....now you're saying that any QB in the land could have taken Texas to the National Championship with "that" defense. It seems you have changed your mind. Which is it?
  8. Colt went to a perfect situation for him. He'll be taken care of and groomed properly. The last time Bradford was on the field surrounded by lesser talent he got hurt. I don't see Bradford as physical enough to be okay. Bradford is in a bad situation, but will have a fat wallet for it. Look at the QBs that were drafted early and expected to play early. It never is a good situation. Just ask David Carr.
  9. After watching the spring scrimmage I think they should stick with what they did the last two seasons. It is exactly what Gilbert did the last 5 years of his life. During the spring game, the best runs came out of the shotgun with the backside guard pulling around the end. When under center the run game was just like last year. The OL just leaned and never really got a push on the DL. There was almost always someone standing in the hole just waiting on the RB. I wasn't even impressed with Whaley running the ball. He reminds me of Melton. I believe if the would just go back to what they do best....throwing the ball to set up some runs....they'd win their 10+ games. Gilbert was the only bright spot in my opinion.
  10. you can have the scientific articles. I have my bible.
  11. Homosexuality is a choice. You aren't born that way.
  12. I hope not, but I think the Rangers will be watching the playoffs again. still in need of a true ace for the starting rotation.
  13. I would've liked to have seen Halladay in a Rangers uniform even if it was for just 1-2 years. One of these days the Rangers will get them a true ace and break over the playoff hump. a rotation needs a true ace and texas has lacked that for a long time now. Halladay would've been great in Texas with the lineup they have. He is the kind of pitcher that Texas has been needing to make the playoffs. I would've gladly given up Holland. He'll never make it as a starter. It just so happened that a few nights before the trade deadline last year he had the game of his life. feliz needs to stay and work out of the bullpen....he has too much velocity and can get the outs late in the game.
  14. I got these stats from ESPN and Inside Texas Lamar Houston vs. Gerald McCoy at the combine Houston: wt: 305 40: 4.85 225 reps: 30 - vert: 33.5 McCoy: wt: 295 40: 4.96 225 reps: 23 - vert: 30.5 McCoy is being touted to be picked ahead of Suh by some draft experts
  15. Jordan Shipley and Jason White. Both had 6yrs and both played above themselves.
  16. It seemed like for 4 years in a row Jason White would start and end the season with a knee surgery. I was glad as a Texas fan when he was out of eligibility. What is he doing these days? I was talking about some of OU's best RBs being from Texas... Nothing about Ok. state.
  17. Never claimed to be genius so excuse me. I just failed to look at that correctly.
  18. Adrian Peterson is quite possibly the best RB OU has ever had. Jason "broke leg" White won the heisman the year that Peterson should've won it. I didn't say 'all' of them, just some of the best ones.
  19. His rivals page shows that Texas didn't offer. Texas only offers out of staters if they are elite. He has been far from elite in his time at OU. In fact the best RB's OU has had have been from south of the Oklahoma border. that one game....65 yds on one play....63 yards on 16 plays(3.9 avg). Yeah he's fast to the sideline and can burn you, but if you keep him in the tackles he's average. He's not as good as Christina Michael, Finley from Baylor, Baron BAtch, Kendall Hunter, Tre Newton.
  20. I would rather be lucky twice than good once..... Maybe we will be lucky enough to make it 3 in a row, 5 out of the last 6. Who knows?
  21. You could take Demarco Murray off the list IMO. He tears the Tulsa's of the world up, but he is MIA against good defenses.
  22. I have no dog in this barking contest, but in 20 years go back and look at the record books and that LOSS will still be there. It does matter. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Does Longview losing to Lake Travis at Floyd Casey Stadium not matter then? Longview did lose, so in your mind it doesn't count? Scrimmages don't matter, games do.
  23. If he is serious about his commitment to Texas he won't go visiting others after giving a verbal. Texas doesn't play that game. If he does visit others they'll most likely pull their offer. I hope he does what is right and sticks with his word... Good get for Texas if they do get his signed LOI next Feb... Next IMO would be Kendall Thompson from Carthage.
  24. How do you know the offense will remain the exact same? It appears that "pirate" ship has sailed. Neal Brown will run the offense according to Tubberville's gameplan.
  25. wasn't talking to you ed. I have a life thank you very much so maybe it is you who needs to get in line for one yourself. have a nice day.
