Hard to imagine a one dimensional team winning the State Championship at the 4a level and above. Kennedale has a lot of wins over the yrs but always had trouble after 2rds of playoffs but the last few yrs they have done well against some tough perenial playoff teams, maybe they have tweaked that Wing T to be able to overcome big deficits {which i thought was the biggest downside to that offense} Gonna be tough to do against the best 3a-4a team in the state the last decade. If there is a line I'm sure Kennedale is 10pt favorite. They reclone every year and look exactly the same with maybe 1 or 2 players better than the year before. What makes me a little nervous about Kaufman is the defense the last couple yrs has been touted as very strong but looking at scores that doesn't seem to be the case. Strong enough to win is all that matters though. Watching Kennedale in previous years they do very well on 1st and 2nd down on picking up 7-9 yrds. If the Lions can stop that most of the game they stand a good chance. If they do force 3rd and long don't automatically think they will throw because they will still run it 90% of time. Kaufman qb seems to be a good young player and hopefully he stays calm and completes some key passes and most important protect the ball . If Kaufmans rbs have a big game I think Kaufman wins. Sure wish that Prox kid hadn't moved to Royce City those type players are difference makers this time of year but I'm sure that happens at a lot of schools and also injuries. Play with what you got.

Kaufman lost to Midlothian Heritage last year in 3rd rd I think in a very close game. Kaufman has a history with K-dale as they used to be in same dist and Kdale has won more than lost against Kaufman if I'm not mistaken. Kaufman will hold their own against either of these 2.

Noticed Kennedale has scheduled good teams east and south for preseason the last couple yrs. I admire what they are able to do in todays offensive football and would like to go to this game against Midlothian Heritage pass happy , good qb, sr. laden team . Is this their 1st Sr. class? It will be a close shootout imo . Would like to here DOB'S breakdown if he has been keeping up with either of these 2 teams.

I"m thinking the same.Van has good experienced qb and Kaufman has a talented young qb . Hopefully K"s qb will be as good here in couple yrs. Van by 6

My thoughts exactly. Wish this game would have happened any of the previous yrs for Kennedale. Kennedale is one of those schools that doesnt get much attention IMO but are really pretty good in all sports and glad to see them venture to far east tx the last couple yrs to play football.

If they can replace the production from RB/DE they lost from last year from several players Kaufman will be fine.

Think they played in 2010,andtwice 2011 with Lindale winning big 2 out of 3 times and Kaufman almost pulling a upset the last game they played in playoffs..

Thank you..been looking for this. Looks to be a pretty good preseason schedule and about time for a dist bigger than 5 teams. Every team looks to be a worthy opponent..dont know much about Denton Braswell.

Always hurts to lose good established coaches especially the HC and DC..also the Mvp of the dist and a lot of lineman. Gonna be ok skill wise with Morris ,Prox and the other candidate for MVP til he got hurt --Fritz. and a few others that will step up. QB from last year did a great job and hoping it was Burleson that developed him because the kid came a long ways and probably should have been 1st team AD..big young LB will just be a jr so that's good. I think it will be the OL DL that we hope can be as good as last yr to have last yrs success. That's my 2cents.

Don't think Barker brought in that many new coaches when he came.Retained a lot from the York regime..alot of good veteran coaches. I admire him for the work he did here in 2yrs..from running the spread the 1st year with little more talent than this year imo and switched back to under center this year and did even better. Tatum did good . Give him time.

Heard that Terrell losing some key players as most of the dist.but that coach they have is a difference maker..maybe we can steal him like we did York 10yrs ago.

I"m sure Garrison felt the same way when he came to Kaufman. I cant begrudge anyone trying to do better or work where they want.Kaufman will do fine they usually get a lot of applicants. Maybe we can get KERRY STRONG! whoever that is..
