Baker threw 127 pitches on Saturday in the regional final game. Some coaches care about their players career after high school. He was hoping to give him another days rest. The pitching did not create the errors. Carlisle you had a good year a lot of people like to mouth from the bleachers but have no idea on what is going on.

Why would you throw a high school kid 162 pitches? That is outrageous.

This comment is not at all true. I know plenty of coaches who coach sports other than football that make their kids get in the weight room. Perfect example. The AD should be able to look out for all programs. It should not matter what sport the AD coaches as long as each sport is given the same treatment. As far as saying programs with football coaches as AD's are more successful is crazy. I have seen my share of horrible football teams that have AD/head football coach.

Its a series. They are off today and play again Saturday. Wakeland has some kids that can hit the ball.

Cleburn wanted to play one game but Harvey (Heath) wanted to play 3 games and told the Cleburn coach if he would agree to a 3 game series he would go to Cleburn for all 3. Heath won tonight 4-1.

Logan Foster from Slocum ran a 1:57 in the 800 to set the region 4 1A record.

Yeah they had some kids get suspended for a few games. I know they beat us like a drum twice. Kids are very respectful and coach does a good job. I think they can play with anyone in the region.

I hope nobody thinks that I am bashing. I know Coach Finney and think he does a great job. I just dont like it when people think that winning just happens. You must put the work in both as a coach and as players for programs to be successful. With that said NEdog I guess football teams are the only ones that work hard. I am making a joke unless you really do feel that way.

So you are tellimg me that all your kids love the extra running and lifting weights they have to do? My kids hate all the running and lifting that we do. Do they do it? Yes. Do they like it? No. Do they like the success that we have? Yes. They all know that this is a big part to our success but if you gave them a choice most of them would not do it on a regular basis. If you are somewhere that you can count on kids to do it without you on their butt then I would never leave.

All great programs require their kids to do things that they do not want to do. It was probably said in a legal way and the kids understand that if player A is doing this and I am not player A is going to play. I am the first to say that you should not make a kid play one sport because he is in another. However, I do agree that kids who quit on themselves when running will quit on their team when it gets tough in any sport and track/cross country are easy ways to see how tough kids are.

We played Cayuga and all these kids do is play hard when they are in the game. That is all you ever want as a coach is for your kids to play hard no matter who they are playing. You know what is coming before you play them so just try to game plan for it and play hard.
