  1. Not focused just on Shelbyville...this will be this young mans first return since week 1. Its his senior year..so I can assure you he is focused on it.
  2. Alto's best player might actually be the one on the sidelines due to a broken leg that he suffered during the first game of the year. Bush #4. With that being said, we won't know his true impact until he is back on the field. Before the break, he was a utility player able to play in many different positions on offense and was also great on defense. He will be back hopefully for the last game of district, so Shelbyville better get ready.
  3. I am at the Elkhart/Whitney game and we still have 25 seconds left in the half.. Go Jackets!!
  4. The Elkhart Elks played Shelbyville Friday and won 42-28. The game is wrong for Hunter Bush..just FYI.
  5. Elkhart drove it all the way down the field on their first possession during the live quarter, only to turn it over. It very well could have been 2-1 Elkhart in the live quarter. Elkhart also has a few starters out, so it will be interesting to see how they do with them back. Obviously both teams need work still, but Elkhart kept up with Arp all night.
  6. Great season Jackets!!! So proud of our players and coaches! How many schools would love to have been in your shoes tonight? Alto has a great tradition when it comes to football...and I can guarantee the tradition will continue next year! Keenen Johnson is fun to watch and I can't wait to see what he does next year as a senior. His future is bright!
  7. Alto 20 Tenaha 0 with 7:25 left in the 2nd quarter!
  8. I have a good feeling that my Jackets are going to win tonight!
  9. GO CAYUGA!!!! Wishing you the best of luck from Alto! I remember three years ago saying that Cayuga would have some luck in the future...you proved me right! I love seeing schools have success...not just my school. For any school to make it to the playoffs...well, that is an accomplishment in itself. To make it to the State Championship game...that is a once in a lifetime experience!!! The memories made will be ones that are talked about the rest of your life. You know...Alto had a taste of going to state in 1995..we didn't win, but we got a taste of what it is like to make it that far. It took us 11 years to FINALLY get there again...every year, wanting it more and more. Now Cayuga...last year you got a taste of how special it is to be playing football in December...you've craved it all year, all the fans were confident in you, now you've made it to the ultimate...the State Championship Game!!!! District 20-A is so proud of you!!!! Win it all and a bring another state championship home to our district... You know when Alto played McCamey in 2006...they said that East Texas football didn't compare to West Texas football. Well, we showed them, and now you will too. The Beast from the East this year is Cayuga!
  10. Wishing luck to Cayuga! 20A is rooting for you! How awesome would it be to have a 20A representative in a state championship game three years in a row?
