Did the coaches finish this game? ;)

If we are gonna by attitude AFTER there are several coaches and teams that would forfeit many games and some titles. Fact is they won the race and AFTER they won someone got feelings hurt and dq the team. If he is doing it during race; dq him for it. His team was finished and done and then someone wanted to dq them and did. Wonder if I can apply the same dq concept after football games. Hey coach I know you just scored winning score but gonna disqualify your team bc I don't like your attitude.

If to dq a kid or team bc you didn't like their attitude AFTER they won the race; you have made it about you and not the kids. During or before; then it is about te kids. After the fact; you are making it about yourself.

Sounds like the official made it just as much about him and his feelings as it is the runners. Pathetic.

Here is the problem with the UIL ruling. The race was over and then he made comment or gesture. How do you dq someone after the fact. How about taking a touchdown off the board for taunting after the touchdown. You can't. During or before that is one thing; but not after the fact when someone has their feelings hurt.

Match up their roster with the other schools they played. Either he is a winner and leader or he isn't. His record goes he isn't either.

Swoopes had a D1 tight end his jr season and they weren't that good. Heard, JW Walsh, Greg Ward and others would have lead the same Whitewright team to more than 2 victories. Swoopes is overrated and for the Horns to get excited about a 10 play 31 yard drive for a field goal is the ultimate spin. Tap the breaks on this kid.

"Call it both ways" On every peel back block; every coach will yell "block in the back" During 7th grade C game as the officials and coaches are trying to help guide kids on how to line up; there is always a lineman that can't sit still and some dad and some first year coach yells "he's moving. False start. False start"

"Wear it".... Easy for you to say in all your warm gear and not in a uniform at 50 degrees with 85 mph fb coming at ya. "I still hold the record for LL home runs." A guy introduced himself that way to me. Knew it was time to put on headsets and listen to radio.

It is a 2-0 count and batter swings and fouls ball. Mom yells "way to stay alive". On 0-2 count; pitcher throws fb high or outside hoping to get batter to chase. It is obviously a ball but pitchers dad yells "come on". Kid is up and hits dribbler to pitcher. Mom gets on cell phone and tells dad; "he got a hit but they got him out before he got on base."

Spring football starts soon and so does 7 on 7 state qualifiers. Not the best or pure thing but allows you to make it to August.

Support AND opposition to this bill is about money and power. Those who want it and those who have it. Vast majority could careless either way.

Let me ask ya; what if a school said no to the money? What if the school district said no to fed rules and money? Why can't they or why won't they?

Bingo! Testing should be required but the 1 shoe fits all isn't the way to go. I saw a number last year (I believe) and it said fed govt provides 9% of funding but 43% of rules and regulations. I'm not a smart man but those numbers don't fit. See we can get along and actually agree on 90% but it is the spokesman for our sides that kill any common ground.

I agree with 90% of what you wrote. Here is where I will disagree; the rest of society started a recession in early 2000 with the dot com bubble bust and people started losing jobs and employees that were still working were forced to take 5-15% pay cuts. Yet schools kept getting more and more funding. Then we get to 2007 and now schools are now gonna stop some pay raises but funding still went up just not as fast. Now we start hearing from superintendents and teachers in the news telling us how mean we are to teachers and unfair to children that teachers don't get pay raises. Rest of society is losing jobs and taking more pay cuts. I have never seen a school or any other govt agency worry about their pay check not being deposited but the rest if a society does. Then schools have the audacity to say we are selfish for them to have to have a tighter budget. Those who stand up and speak for schools are always wanting more money but then complain when there are strings attached to that money. Many educators live in this school based cocoon and don't see how the rest of society lives. They sneak school bond elections in during non election time frames. Should be held same time as general elections. But I do agree with the vast majority of your post.

You are in the minority because just as we see on this thread and in the public schools and educators believe parents should never question nor interfere with schools. Do you think people just woke up one day and said you know I am so bored I am going to attack schools? Do you not think schools gave the public a reason to demand accountability and questioning policy? When you go meet your child's new teacher at the beginning of a year and they tell you they needed vacation money and that is why they are teaching; you have the right to be concerned. When to meet a teacher and they tell your child they are racist for wearing a George Bush campaign shirt; you have the right to call them out in public just as they call out students and parents in public. When you meet a principle and he says that parents who withdraw their child and put in private schools should lose their children and are just selfish parents; darn right they should be held accountable. Schools are no different than any other govt agency. Too easy to abuse power and money and should be questioned constantly and in the public eye. That doesn't mean you don't support but you still question and deprogram along the way. My kids teachers and my kids know that in our house; you are guilty until you can prove yourself innocent if a teacher makes an accusation. My child knows I will fight for them if I need to step in but there are many steps they must use to fight for themselves first. Teachers and coaches know they can all me at anytime and I will offer my services to help that school any way I can. The school also knows I will call them on the carpet and fight them when tey are wrong. You don't get free checks and our children without question. Too many schools and educators believe money and students should come to them unquestioned.

Sure and you are more than welcome to try and hire a high school graduate that is capable of reading basic instructions and do simple math. That is real world applications that kids are not able to do. How about teach my brothers college class where students can't read a simple text book or write a paper that is college level. I am as much of a helicopter parent as you are a nazi teacher who believes it is the schools responsibility to go beyond teaching subject and instead indoctrinate their kids into their beliefs. Do you believe parents should sit back and shut up and not question the school and their actions?

Plenty of examples were given of govt school cheating and you ignored that. You were given examples of govt school open recruiting yet you ignored that. Your hatred for people trying to get away from govt run schools and improving their children has been exposed. You are nothing but about power and your insecurities. You keep making blanket assumptions and have no idea what you are talking about. Go find your athlete you can threaten with playing time to make yourself feel big and tough.

These places are growing and don't need open enrollment except for 1 reason but govt check collectors don't care bc it means more money for themselves.
