Post of the year...bottom line those that complain about Private schools from the public school are looking to protect their money and their power. All about the money and NOTHING about the kids!!

Stampede nope my kids go to a govt school but I monitor my children and the teachers and administrators and many times have to deprogram them from most of the #### they get. You admit that parents should sit back and just send their kids and send more money with no accountability you must be another person who works for the govt and collecting money.

Those that apologize and rationalize govt school cheating is exactly why people want out if give schools into charter and private schools. Who wants those type of people around their children? I wouldn't.

That is not correct. Argyle and Ponder are fast growing areas and are using open enrollment to go with that. To say it is to keep enrollment is yet another govt school lie/myth. If the athlete hasn't played varsity yet; he doesn't have to sit out a year of UIL varsity or any UIL sports. Yet again; another govt school lie/myth. Any others?

Many bottom dwellers that are private and charter schools. Don't have to be good at it to be cheating.

They have open enrollment and it is for one reason and one reason only. To deny is to lie. Charter and private schools have rules and guidelines they have to follow. Just like govt run schools some follow and many don't. No better no worse.

Not down on small schools anymore than big schools. I deal with schools in many aspects of life and people can achieve what they want despite the education they don't receive from professional educators. I get tired of this holier than thou attitude from govt schools who think the world owes them something and they don't cheat or steal or neglect kids. They are no better and no worse than charter and private schools.

You are right; only reason leave govt schools because they are spoiled and couldn't hack it. Has nothing to do with win at all costs and push through students at all costs. Argyle, lake Dallas, ponder, and garland and other many other govt schools can recruit from all over with open campus but you are right they are doing that for higher education and not sports. Only evil devil worshipping spoiled rich brats cheat for sports. Govt schools have no accountability with cheating except they have to give back a trophy. Such a punishment. Sometimes they even have to take down a banner. What do I know I'm just a kid who graduated from small school and have my undergrad and masters an own my own business with 3 teens.

Ram, The testing should be based on what classes you are taking. Teachers and students test results based on that class. Is the Pre-cal teacher actually teaching Pre-Cal and the Pre-cal student actually learning the subject.

You say that you want accountability but everytime they are brought up "professional educators" complain yet never offer their own true accountability. They jus knock wha us proposed. Schools believe we as a society should send them the kids and send them whatever money they want without question and should just sit idly by and be ready to write a bigger check when demanded. Show me the lobbyist that educators use that don't demand for more money and less accountability because that isn't who we as a society see or hear from at the school house or the courthouse.

The pendulum has swung in this direction, why? Because for decades schools didnt feel the need to be held accountable and this is what happens because someone has to do it. Show me one way where educators are willing to be held accountable besides yelling for more and more money with less oversight. Schools are just as bad as parents. They refused to take their responsibilities seriously; so someone else has to do it for them. Just like parents who whine when their kids are disciplined by schools and legal authorities; it is the same way with "professional educators".

Same as most govt schools. All about winning sports titles; education not a priority.

Schools have open enrollment so they can have move ins. That is recruiting. To deny cheating bc you want to doesn't mean it isn't cheating or recruiting. UIL is all about money; nothing more, nothing less. I believe we can all agree on that.

Was the school forced out of UIL competition for a year or more? So they lost some games, yippee. Was the AD or super forced to resign? They get probation. Wow. Major penalty there. Again when the UIL gets serious about cleaning up govt schools; let me know.

Your answer is to ignore the cheats in govt run schools and point to private schools for doing the same thing. Gotcha! I guess I should go become a govt school "educator" to steal money and recruit and actually only worry about winning and no actually teaching a thing. You worry about why schools started ad yet careless about how schools actuall operate? Let me know you plan on cleaning up the govt sponsored cheating?

You are right; employers, universities and community leaders are wrong about the graduates they have to deal with. It is not like they have to employ, further educate nor interact with so how would they know the quality of product put out by schools. Only superintendents and other professional educators can give a fair assessment as they are completely unbiased and have no financial gain for bring dishonest. It is a vast righ wing conspiracy to destroy schools in America bc schools are doing a great job but the public is too stupid to see it. If they had only attended public schools would they understand the quality of work and quality of education out forth.

They recruit to win state titles and looking at many schools around the state they don't exist for academics but athletics. To deny is to lie! How many of these coaches, supers or ADs had the integrity of Dein to with draw their school from the UIL? When govt schools actually start showing integrity and either withdrawing from UIL for 2 or more years and letting people go for cheating; then they have the right to question private schools. Until nothing but hypocrites.

Ponder refused to have football for the longest time to win in basketball. There are several others schools that do the same. It is ok to recruit as long as it isn't for basketball titles? Govt schools recruit just as bad if not worse than private schools so it is funny to hear te whining. Especially Towns like Mumford.

Small towns have open enrollment and so do bigger towns. Just in the metroplex; you have Garland ISD (5a), Lake Dallas ISD (4a),Argyle ISD (3a), and Ponder ISD (2a). I doubt they are the only districts in Texas that allow open recruiting; I mean open enrollment.

If gov't run schools (wrongfully called public schools) focused on academics and not so much on athletics; their wouldn't be such a demand for charter nor private schools. Govt schools did this to themselves. Good for AAA. Doubt they recruit anymore than the typical govt school does.

Play the game where the Giants and Jets play not freaking Yankee Stadium...

If I have to call police on someone and they leave them; I am done for the night. Tells me what I need to know about the community and time to leave.
