  1. I won’t be surprised to see Murphy, Mitchell, and Worthy in the first round. Seen Mitchell to Buffalo a lot and Worthy to Chiefs.
  2. My point is, Russel left Harmony and they gave him a second stint and he did well. He consistently had Harmony in the playoffs. Some parents and administrators thought they had the talent to do more and they were correct. We don’t have to beat this horse to death every time Harmony is in the news.
  3. You seem to forget that Russel left Harmony for a bigger payday at Pine Tree. Great guy and he still has plenty of supporters at Harmony but tell the whole story.
  4. Harmony will have talent coming in from the jr high but it’ll be a few years until those kids are ready. The freshman class is pretty good and it’s a big class The girls athletics is set up to win sooner but schools don’t hire ADs for girls sports. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a hire from within here.
  5. Completely agree, no problem with it. Just wish Texas could’ve given the same deal.
  6. This is the kid that signed with Texas in December and asked to be released from his LOI after Bo Davis left for LSU.
  7. Not football related but the softball team went 5-0 over their opening weekend. 2 of those wins came over #8 UCLA, a 3-2 victory Friday night and a 16-1 win Saturday. With the new rankings out they moved up 3 spots to #2. Baseball gets going this weekend hosting San Diego.
  8. First interview I ever read with Bussey he said something about loving the small town feel of A&M. I knew he’d sign with them then. Some kids just prefer it to the big city. Now im interested to see what position they’ll put him at.
  9. Surprising how little the SEC coaching staffs have changed from the Saban retirement. Everyone kept their coach and their assistants they wanted to keep.
  10. Nahlin had been hearing Bond would portal even before Saban announced.
  11. We’ll see, the biggest questions for him are recruiting. He’s also never been in the south/southeast, the game is much different down here. Right now Bama recruits itself but if he has a couple down years or he fails to find a Qb/wr that can mimic what he had at Washington to make his offense go, things could get tricky. Deboer is a really good offensive mind but we haven’t seen him do it with any Qb other than Penix. Some Bama are going to leave town regardless of who they hired, so we’re going to get to see real quick how he is as a roster manager. At Washington he had 9 sixth year players this season, he’s going to have to build it at Alabama.
  12. I thought you may have a little insight into Tatum as a person. Kyler wanted to play football more than baseball so him not choosing football isn’t surprising. I guess my question was more do you know if Tatum prefers football to baseball or if he were a high draft pick would that sway him. Baseball is my true love so just interested.
  13. I’ve seen him pretty highly rated on the baseball side of things. Is there any concern he’ll go that route if he leads the Lobos on another run?
  14. I thought Deboer would be the guy but I don’t know if he’s getting a look at the NFL or not. Lanning and Sark aren’t going to leave their jobs. I think Dabo would be a disaster. Kiffin may be content to let someone else take the job for a few years and see if he can be the guy to follow that guy. He’s got a solid team at Ole Miss right now. Norvell may already have one foot in the plane just waiting for a call after all the stuff FSU has gone through.
  15. Oh I agree, I’ve just seen several publications that don’t consider him a RS guy. It doesn’t really matter, barring injury he’ll be nfl bound this time next year.
  16. For some reason they don’t consider his freshman year at Ohio St a red shirt season.
  17. Bo Davis is a job hopper, this isn’t surprising to me at all. Kind of excited to see who Sark hires. He’s killed his replacement hires so far.
  18. I gotcha and totally possible, as you said with the skill departures.
  19. You don’t think he’ll continue his trajectory? Year 2 was much better than year 1 for Ewers. You think he’ll regress in year 3 or do you think he’s topped out? Honestly curious on your thoughts…unless you’re trolling then ok.
  20. All depends on how they replace the pass catchers. They'll return a 3rd year Qb, 4/5 OL, their best blocking TE, and both RBs on offense. They should be able to run the ball until the passing game settles in. On defense they’ll lose 2DTs, 1 LB, 1CB, and 2 safeties. The DTs will be by far the biggest loss. On defense as a whole while they lose some experience, they should be much more athletic.
  21. This is pretty solid. There will be plenty of battles this spring which will make things more interesting than last spring. Last year things were pretty set, there was IOL battles that were won via injury, so no real battle. This year you’ll have battles at RB, WR, S, LB, RT, and DT, probably could add LG as well. Texas has a bunch of young guys looking to crack the rotation from Sarks previous classes but also 17 early enrollees from the 24 class. They’ve brought in a pass rusher, speed receiver, and safety/nickel through the portal thus far and looks like a DT from Houston could be joining soon. Spring practices will bring a lot of intrigue.
  22. Did any of us think Brooks would be the top RB in the country before his injury? Dont get me wrong, Baxter and Blue need to step up in the spring and summer workouts and continue developing. They’ll get there with more reps and the understanding that they’re the guys now.
  23. Ewers and his family want him to have 25+ starts at the collegiate level before turning pro. They’ve done research that supports that number as being critical for a QBs success in the NFL. For Quinn everything he has done has been with the NFL in mind. I don’t think he’d be at Texas now if Sark weren’t the coach. Had he not had the injuries the last 2 seasons he may be leaving school this season.
  24. Well Penix has been in college for 6 years so Quinn is kind of like a jv QB to him.
