Both are correct. Sark made an error not calling timeout. The officials had no business standing over the ball for 15 seconds after Texas substituted. If Texas had substituted at 15 seconds on the play clock I could understand but the official say over the ball for 15 seconds without OSU even attempting a sub.

Absolutely! Texas had their entire 11 on the field with 25 seconds on the play clock. Gundy decided to sub with 10 seconds left. Officiating error 100%

Great start for Texas. Not sure why the announcers think Brooks committed PI, that was great coverage and the offense created contact.

Newton spent all offseason wanting to beat Harmony and forgot about the Tigers. They didn’t have near the same energy this week as they did last week. Great game Daingerfield, your passing attack and Johnsons legs are your X factor, ride it for 2 more weeks. Good luck

I think Elko is a good coach and will win games at A&M. I do wonder if he hadn’t been at A&M recently would he have even been a candidate for the job. Is he just younger Mark Stoops? He’ll have better resources than Stoops but his OC choice will be huge. I also wonder about his ability to hire elite support staff around him, recruiting, nutrition, scouting…

Watched Harmony play both teams. Daingerfield will have an easier time moving the ball on Newton than Harmony did. Harmony scored on Newton with their spread passing attack. Harmony doesn’t have the athletes to go 5 wide but the Tigers do. I think #3 for Newton is the real deal. Their run game didn’t get much of anything up the middle against Harmony. So 3 just ran to the sideline and then turned up the sideline to go score. He is fast and strong too, his tackle breaking was impressive. Unlike Harmony these two teams can match each others depth. While #3 for Newton may be the best player on the field I think Daingerfield will have more athletes that can hurt you on the field. I’d give DF the edge at Qb and Wr. Harmony controlled the line of scrimmage vs DF and ate up chunk yardage in the run game. Newton doesn’t have as athletic of an offensive line as Harmony but they don’t play any defense so they can stay fresh. The Newton Qb could have a big day running Qb power against the Tigers if they go that route. This one could go either way. Newton definitely spent a year stewing over the loss to Harmony last year. They put a lot into that game last night. Can they bring that same energy this week vs the Tigers? Daingerfield had a fire lit under them by the same team but just 4 weeks ago. It’s difficult for high school kids to get up back to back weeks. I’ll take the Tigers to move on in this one. Good luck to both teams.

Proud of the Harmony boys fight, they could’ve folded several times but they fought back. Great season Eagles. Newton, #3 was the best player on the field, incredible athlete. He was absolutely the difference in the game. Early self inflicted wounds put Harmony in a hole and then they didn’t have enough in the tank to get the stops they needed. Newtons redzone defense was tough too, very impressive.

If I’m Ryan Day and I lose to Michigan again I would immediately accept the inevitable huge contract the A&M would need to pay to pry me from Ohio St. Ohio State would be looking for my replacement before the final whistle vs Michigan if I were to lose to them again. A&M would have to pay me more than what’s on my contract now. Although it’s a tougher place to win i would be guaranteed to get 3-4 years and in this hypothetical Ohio St isn’t giving me 3-4 years.

My comment was in reference to the one I quoted saying West Rusk was better than Harmony. Had nothing to do with Newton.

Somebody tell Patrick what would really be stupid for Traylor would be for him to leave the state of Texas for Boise St or SDSU. Bigger name school doesn’t men you can be successful there.
