  1. This was a great series, kept you on the edge of your seat. Evadale's Tucker and Franklin can definately hit. Franklin hit a 3-run shot that put Evadale ahead in the top of the 6th (6-4), but the Rebs defense couldn't hold off the NDN's bats in the bottom of the 7th. Congratulations on a great season Evadale! Third time was the charm for Douglass, keep it going in the next round!
  2. Dreams could become reality. It is a long drive. Probably about 3 hours for Evadale.
  3. It's gameday! Are you ready for some baseball? Let's give the kids and coaches some credit and get this thread back on track.
  4. I was at the game! If my math is correct 5 hits + 7 BB = a whole lot more than 4. I also remember that the first pitcher for Evadale threw 3 innings and gave up 1 run and 1 hit. Lovelady will definately capitalize on a team's mistakes. The Lovelady/ Cayuga series should be a good one. Good luck to both teams!
  5. I wouldn't put too much stock in a warm up game. Then again, I can't wait to see the stats from this game. You never know what can happen in baseball.
  6. In District 24, there is a tie for second between Sabine Pass and Big Sandy. In District 23 there could also be a tie, depending on the outcome of tonight's game between Chester and Colmesneil.
  7. The April 8th THSBCA Poll has Overton, Cayuga, Crossroads, and Evadale in the top 10.
  8. I wouldn't count out a couple of teams from Southeast Texas that are in this region. I realize Overton is the team to beat, but there are some pretty good teams out there and anything can happen.
  9. The game is at 6:00pm. Both coaches will have their players to the field on time and both teams will be ready to play. I know Chester is excited to play after such a long layoff, and I'm sure Cushing is ready after winning their bi-district series. It should be a good game.
  10. Coach Franklin and the Yellowjackets say Thanks! They are working very hard. Chester only has 28 boys in High School, and 18 of them play baseball. These boys would walk through fire if Coach Franklin asked them to. It sure is nice to get some recognition.
  11. Chester 2-0 Zavalla 2-0 Burkeville 1-1 Broaddus 1-1 Colmesneil 1-1 West Sabine 1-1 Brookeland 0-2 Chireno 0-2
  12. He`s been at chester for like a year. Just thought i'd catch you up on things. lol
  13. Chester is 8-3, Zavalla 8-4, and Big Sandy 5-5. Chester has to play Colmesneil, Zavalla, and West Sabine. Zavalla has West Sabine and Chester. Big Sandy still has 4 games left to play(Brookeland, Broaddus, Colmesneil and Burkeville). Big Sandy needs to win these 4 games, and for Zavalla to lose both of theirs. If not, they need Chester to lose at least two out of their last three to be tied with them. West Sabine is locked in at 11-0, they could lose the last three and still be in.
  14. West Sabine 9-0 Chester 7-2 Zavalla 6-3 Big Sandy 4-4 Colmesneil 3-5 Burkeville 3-6 Brookeland 2-7 Broaddus 1-8
  15. The top three teams are West Sabine, Chester, and Zavalla.
  16. District Standings as of 4/2 West Sabine 8-0 Chester 6-2 Zavalla 5-3 Big Sandy 4-3 Burkeville 3-5 Colmesneil 2-5 Brookeland 2-6 Broaddus 1-7
  17. I believe the district standings as of 3/22 are: West Sabine 5-0 Zavalla 4-1 Chester 3-2 Colmesneil 2-2 Burkeville 2-3 Big Sandy 1-3 Broaddus 1-4 Brookeland 1-4
