  1. Matt Harvey for the Mets in 2012?
  2. Hi Camuchs, The answer is not Gage. The key to this question is that it asked for the longest run in American Football Conference history. The AFC was formed in 1970 with the ten AFL teams and three teams from the NFL. So the answer to this question would come from 1970 or later. Good luck. :)
  3. Hi Camuchs. No, he never played for the Jags. Sorry
  4. Who holds the American Football Conference record for longest run from scrimmage. Of course, Tony Dorsett holds the NFC and NFL record with his 99 yard run against the Vikings.
  5. I know about Mike Ditka and Tony Dungy. This last one is a bit of a guess...how about Tom Flores?
  6. Brooks is correct. Good job, Cherokee. You are up.
  7. Fogger. Charles Hennigan for the Houston Oilers in the 1960's. He had 410 career catches with one season over 100. Let me know if this is correct. I have a good Super Bowl question for everyone. Thanks. Hi Cherokee, Hennigan is a very nice try but not quite right. As a hint, after playing in the NFC his whole career he finished up with a short stint as a Denver Bronco.
  8. Eric Metcalf (UT) rush:2392 rec:5572 punt:5813 kick:3453 Greg Pruitt (OU) rush:5672 rec:3069 punt:2007 Kick:2514 if this is correct, you may ask the "Q" Mr. Fogger. Very good, camuchs. Nice research. Although the norm is that you ask the next question...you returned the honor to me. So, here it is. Including only retired players, which NFL player who had a 100 catch season had the fewest career receptions?
  9. Which two NFL players have compiled 2,000 career yards in each of these four categories. Rushing, receiving, kickoff returns, punt returns. Hint - Both are alumni of what are now Big 12 schools.
  10. He was a rookie at the age of 39, led his league in saves the next year and retired after the following season. Name him. Hint - Pre-1950
  11. NEXT QUIZ..........When the St. Louis Cardinals retired the owner August Busch's name to the wall in Busch Stadium what was the number they retired for him ? In 1984, the Cardinals retired the number 85 for August Busch. 85 was his age at the time. Busch died five years later at the age of 90. He was a rookie at the age of 39, led his league in saves the next year and retired after the following season. Name him.
  12. It was Hideki Matsui who was the last man to have five knocks in an LCS game before Carl Crawford did it this year. Post-1900, who is the only pitcher to win at least 20 games in his only major league season.
  13. Hi SJL, Since you don't mention post-season games in the equation I will say that Saturday and Manning played 50 consecutive games together. The last two in 2004 and all 16 in each year from 2005 through 2007. Saturday was inactive for the first game of 2008. Which two NFL players have compiled 2,000 career yards in each of these four categories. Rushing, receiving, kickoff returns, punt returns.
  14. I'm back from vacation. (I think I need to buy a laptop) Could it be 36-year old Scott McClain who was born in my hometown of Simi Valley, California?
  15. SJL, those two certainly were famed for their ability to swing and miss but no, they are not the answer. I will tell you that the record has been set since then.
