  1. You need to go back and re-read my post. I said that the only true success is State Championships. Not a proponent of everyone gets a trophy at all.
  2. I can't help but be absolutely amazed when I see statements like this. But it is obvious the Lobo faithful know all about patience. It comes down to how success is measured. If your satisfied by winning seasons and district championships so be it. But I feel anything less than state championships is no different than going 3-7. Year in, year out, getting knocked out of the playoffs just sounds like a ruined deer season to me. Oh well, to each his own. But being a bridesmaid, but rarely a bride (1937), has to get old.
  3. You are clueless... What I said is EXACTLY correct. the superintendent picks them and board eith accepts or rejects their recommendation.
  4. I can assure you that the schoolboard does not pick Coaches. That job is reserved by statute for the superintendent. They will vote on the recommendation, but they do not choose the candidate. i know this comes as a shock, but it's the straight running truth.
  5. Opening night at the new PT Stadium. Wishing much success to Coach Fitz and his boys!!!!
  6. It is so nice. For its size, it would be hard to find a nicer one anywhere.
  7. The new Pine Tree Stadium is going to be really nice.
  8. Win (hopefully!!), lose, or draw,.... GO PIRATES!!!!! Win (hopefully!!), lose, or draw,.... GO PIRATES!!!!! Win (hopefully!!), lose, or draw,.... GO PIRATES!!!!!
  9. Big test tonight for PT. Another step on road to building a program. Good luck to the Pirates!!
  10. Any triple option. Favorite variation though is the Flex-bone.
  11. Improvments at Pine Tree. Sometimes it is one step at a time, but improvements nevertheless. Hard work by PT staff will pay off.
  12. Everyone picks PT last.........That offense sure put up a lot of yards last year. Watch out for this team to be very competitive!
  13. From what I have seen it is either Barnes or Taylor. I have not had the chance to see the Turner kid play.
  14. Defending State Champs or not, the fact is thieir defense gave up 28 points and over 400 yards last week. Granted subs may have come into play , but 400 yards is a substancial amount to give up. Couple that with two reported injuries to defensive starters, it does leave room for debate as to the strength of their defense. No question about Henderson's depth of athletes. The replacements will fill in well I am sure. Pine tree will be improved. We will know all the answer to all Friday evening.
  15. Interesting observation bt1995. Maybe mustanghybrid can fill us in.
  16. Giving up 400+ yards, and 28 points must be cause for concern regardless who you are playing. That kind of performance keeps DC's up at night!
  17. There are positive changes going on at Pine Tree, That is a fact. As to the outcome of the game at Henderson, we will just have to wait until then and see. That is why we play them.
