  1. What a whimp! He's(JE) gonna hound dog him(BO) around and try to #### up in hopes of getting on that ticket. It would be sooooo funny if by some fluke Billary ends up with the Nom. Those little democratic cockroaches will be scampering back to her side. Of course cockroaches do enjoy being in the dark. (no pun intended)
  2. I think Coach Gibbs will be takin' him out---to dinner.
  3. I don't think he's cryin' anymore.
  4. Do you prefer the "best of" series or the winner takes all sudden death playoff formats? I personally think it should be one game sudden death. You don't get to flip for the choice at the State Tournament, so why should you on the road to it? Now if the State Tournament was Double Elim. like CWS, maybe I can see playing series on the way.
  5. For what it's worth. I believe that when I receive PM's, U2U or whichever, I have a choice to make. 1. I can respond, diplomatically and with respect. (dignity still in tact) :happy65: 2. Choose to ignore it, and maybe even block the person. (dignity still in tact) :happy65: 3. Copy and Paste it on the forum. (Which would be the choice with the least amount of dignity) I'm laughing all right, at the oh so juvenile behavior exibited by "Adults" on these forums. Can't figure out exactly who hit whom's nerve on that post. But anyway I see a new thread. :happy65: You can't find entertainment like this on TV these days!
  6. Has any one heard anything on the Pittsburg/WO game 2? or has it started yet? Same goes for Spring Hill/Atlanta? anything? anybody know? huh?
  7. Game 2 Carthage 11 Fairfield 1 game 3 in 30 minutes
  8. I'm gonna guess 0.96 This was in 1914 by Dutch Leonard AKA Hub Walker 1913-1921 ,1924-1925. Boston Red Sox/Detroit tigers(Another Dutch Leonard played about a decade later but he was Right handed.) I'm just not sure about the 300IP, so I won't post new question until shoeless tells me yes or no.
  9. Boy, Ace, gotta agree with you on that one. I doubt if anyone can fill those shoes tho'. Coach Lee was a great coach, no matter where you are from, you gotta agree.
  10. Dunno!?! they came ahead in the 6th, I think. I caught the end on the radio. Sounded like it ended in controversial call (against Carthage)at 2nd base I think. A Carthage fan ran out on the field and police had to escort him off then they went to commercial and came back with the wrap up, but I was scanning the dial for other scores by then.
  11. Ogden started it leading off with a tater! Hubbard said ditto
  12. I think Seth Hubbard started and Stephen Bogenshutz came in after 7 runs scored in the top of 1st.
  13. Beckville in trouble early when Yantis scores 7 runs in 1st inning. Beckville makes pitching change to get out inning. Starts bottom of 1st with back-to-back homers and 2 more runs. Shuts Yantis’ bats OFF! Becville scores 4 more in the 2nd by virtue of a grand slam! Tacks on 4 more in the 3rd. Scoreless 4th and 5th Beckville adds 4 more in the 6th. Beckville pitcher puts up 11 K’s. Congrats to Beckville - great game! :happy65: Beckville 16 Yantis 7
  14. Carthage 4 Fairfield 5 Final Game 1, not sure what time game 2 starts tomorrow
  15. if Fogger01 doesn't have a Q here's one: What is the historical significance of the 1971 World series game 4 @ Pittsburg?
  16. UGGGGH! Right pitcher, wrong years (1936-37 NY giants) 26 games won.('36)22 in ('37) 24 consecutive (correction) NEXT: Name the player with the 1st and only unassisted triple play in World Series history
  17. Wes Ferrell What pitcher won a record 24 consecutive games over a 2 year span?
  18. QUOTE (24sports7 @ Apr 29 2008, 04:48 PM) EF has one outstanding pitcher and 10 seniors that have basically played together since the 8th grade. I like EF in a one gamer as opposed to a series, however. Yeah, remember last year in 3A. Carthage was stacked w/senoirs that had played together for years and won state titles and a WS runner up in Dixie League, Went undefeated for the entire season, ranked #1. What happened? (Other than Bridge City) They didn't even make it to the big show. Anyway, that was last year, I digress. Good luck to all of you that are still in it.
  19. Yep, that's what it is. Really they are not that rare. I'd like to hear a story about an albino cat spotting though. It cracks me up when people don't believe the Big Cat stories. I've been seeing them for over 40 years right here in lil' ol' ET. We saw a lot of wildlife back in the day when we didn't sit around in front of these monitors.
  20. Yes, the BIG cats exists, have seen them in Marion, Harrison, Panola and Shelby counties numerous times over the last 40 years, even seen an ocelot in East Texas about 5 years ago. (see my post on the other big cat thread) Never seen God, but HE does exist. (I will not entertain comments about this statement-I stand by this statement. period! end of discussion.) All the horns of the wicked I will also cut off, But the horns of the righteous shall be exalted --Psalm 75:10
  21. Do you think Danica Patrick will win the INDY 500 this year? Top 5 finish? Top 10 finish?
  22. Hey Lady... you really called that one! How about a 1.2.3. for toyota. I don't really like toyota or Either Busch. ( Kyle or Kurt ) and I like 24 and 48 even less.(won't even say their names) But you gotta love Jr. I like Stewart, J. Burton, and Edwards (could care less about teams, it's like political parties, I vote for the person, not the party) My Opinion= Mr. Ashley Judd can go back to IRL. I want D. Patrick to come to NASCAR! Does she have what it takes to win @ Indy this may?
  23. There are melanistic anomalies in most, if not all mammals, just as there are albino traits. I have seen many "black" squirrels that were from both (cat and fox) species.(not at the same time) There are melanistic deer. And, yes, it is just that they are producing more melanin (the colorant in skin and hair). It can happen in any type of cat, but on close examination you will be able to see the distinct markings of the species ie: stripes, spots and other markings. No, there is not a species called "Black Panther." I spoke with a game warden about this, and was told that there have been reported sightings of these animals, but no documentation, either because TPWD can not be positive about the truthfulness of where the specimen came from and also because some biologist that work with them, do not consider a genetic anomaly such as the melanistic trait to be as "rare" as say an albino one. Esp. if, on close examination the species doesn't look as dark as would be considered "Black." Yes, I have seen cougar-mountain lion-panther-puma (what ever you want to call it,) in East Texas before (But not a melanistic one) in Marion, Harrison, Panola and Shelby counties, (maybe it is the same one and he is traveling Big Cypress and the Sabine River.) I have also seen an ocelot (endangered)in the wild in East Texas about 5 years ago. People used to think that it was a tall tale when someone mentioned seeing an alligator in Big Cypress and now that's an everyday thing. Also, "real" outdoor enthusiast would not kill such a rare animal. Unless it was threatening livestock. But, I have NEVER seen one while pecking on my computer. So, take time to explore wild America. Get outside, take a kid fishing, go for a hike and explore the wonders that these great East Texas forrests have to offer. Remember to be licensed properly and to get permission from landowners. And PLEASE remember that pipeline and powerline right-of-ways are NOT public property, free for the taking, for your 4-wheeler pleasure. Someone owns that land and you are tresspassing if you do not have permission.
  24. I agree with golfingnut. And I owe outlaw an apology. Didn't mean to be so hard on you kid. Man, it's late. Just got in from Arlington, dang Rangers. President Ryan may have to fire someone.
  25. If, indeed it is only to talk about "the game", why aren't you taking care of that with your own fellow coaches (and players) on Monday, when you're watching the game film? As for the "accountants, bankers, mechanics and farmers" crack. I have a cousin that played for Green Bay (back in the day -60's) And if memory serves me right, ( I'm old so it doesn't always) He had a car dealership after he retired. But he probably was not the mechanic. And an uncle that played for the 49ers (Also back in the day) who was a farmer after he retired. So are you saying you wouldn't accept input from someone like that? What about the refs, and umps that may have those occupations as their day jobs? And didn't Nolan Ryan do some ranching and farming after retiement and before getting back in the Rangers org?(part owner) I'm not tryin to pick on you, just tryin to understand your reasons. You said in one of your posts "to rant and blow off steam" Correct me if you didn't. And since you also said that you do more than the parents do for your students, why weren't you there offering your vast knowledge by tutoring those "who didn't have the grades?"
