  1. Coaches can’t carry the ball for them
  2. Battle of the Dogs, must win for both teams, likely playoff spot on the line in week 1 of district. Who would have thought two 1-4 teams would be this interesting? Who takes it?
  3. How are Chapel Hill’s 9th and JV teams this year?
  4. I was referring to the QB from last year that transferred. I was talking about the fact that I know you guys have lost some to other schools, but on the whole Chill still has good athletes.
  5. You are right about that. Discipline and gameplans are areas that should be able to be seen early on in a coach's tenure. Coaching is a profession that is easy to second guess yourself, or overthink a situation. I don't know anything about Chapel Hill this year, and I know there are probably some players that do transfer to area schools, (Obviously the QB this year), but Chapel Hill still has some athletes. I watched them last year and I know they didn't lose everybody. Hopefully it will start clicking for you guys.
  6. Im just curious what some of the Chill faithful think about Coach Hooker and the overall direction of the program. I personally think a coach needs 5 years to really get a good idea about what his way of thinking can do for a football program. It seems to me that Surratt and Traylor have made some folks in the area a little dillusional lately. I mostly follow Kilgore and Longview and I'll admit I have been one of the one's that have said in the past i felt like Longview should have had a state championship by now, but on the whole, Longview is in great shape as a program. Kilgore is in the middle of a miserable season, something their fans are not used to, and to hear some of them talk, there are actually people that want to take a staff that has had maybe 2-3 losing seasons in 25 years and clean house. It's just crazy to me to hear some of the people talk about certain programs, when there are those out there like C-Hill and others in the area that seem to have trouble getting it together every year. If every coach from Kilgore decided to put in at Chapel Hill next year, I'm sure there would be a welcoming party at the fieldhouse for those same coaches that some Kilgore fans are ready to run out of town. I have to admit, that drama is part of what makes sports so interesting to me, and it's fascinating how some coaches can have trouble in one place and be run out of town, then go somewhere else and be the best thing that's happened to that program. I'm not bashing any coaches or fan bases, I'm just genuinely curious what the perspective of the Chill folks is. Chapel Hill has always had athletes for as long as i can remember. I think they'll be back and wish them luck.
  7. Longview High School class of 1999 then- 6’0 about 175lbs Wr/Fs now- 6’0 about 225lbs
  8. I believe he came from Brownsboro. Don’t know much about him other than that.
  9. Buckeyes win by as many as they want. They're down this year for sure, but Bullard has zero defense.
  10. The kid he grabbed immediately came out and defended coach Fisher saying he had no problem with it. He said he was in the wrong for trying to fight and apologized to his team and Coach Fisher. The only one's making a big deal about it is the media. I swear, if I hear one more columnist who never played football saying this was too harsh. One article even said "If Jimbo Fisher will manhandle a child like this, imagine what he could do to a woman." Are you kidding me? First of all, a 21 year old junior in college is not a child, and secondly, to even suggest something like that in an article should be criminal. That columnist should lose his job at the very least. I honestly hope A&M doesnt cave to a few idiotic people just looking to complain.
  11. Any sub varsity score updates?
  12. What does Carthage's freshman group look like this year? I remember that being an awesome freshman game last year between Kilgore and Carthage, just curious if we could look forward to another good one this year?
  13. This is looking like it may be a long season for Kilgore. They are pretty young and overall just not clicking. If PT is going to finally beat the Dogs, this would be the year to do it.
  14. How did Kilgore’s freshman bunch look? I kept hearing about how good hallsville’s freshman class is, but was just curious because from what I heard Terrell was exceptionally bad last week.
  15. I think Kilgore pulls this one out. Nac or WH is going to be second behind Marshall in that tough 5a district. Terrell was exceptionally bad from what I have been told, so I think there's a little perspective there from both sides. Kilgore looked as bad as I've ever seen for 3 quarters and still tried to make it interesting there at the end, and as someone said Nac had two scores and a total of 38 yards at one point. Kilgore is usually pretty good at fixing issues coming off a loss, so I'm gonna say Kilgore by 2 or 3 TD's.
  16. Freshman team looked pretty solid against a big Nac team. The O-line is pretty good size which is something Kilgore hasnt had in a while. Hallsville should be a good test this week. The JV may be hit or miss this year as it appears they have quite a few Soph's on varsity. Either way, the future seems to be looking pretty good in K-town
  17. Wow, I wasnt expecting that from the freshman. Was Terrell that bad or is Hallsville's freshman class that good. Hoping that Hallsville can get the trend going in the right direction.
  18. Freshman Kilgore-28 Nac-2 JV Kilgore-20 Nac-7
  19. I was at the Nac/Chill scrimmage and I never saw anything that looked like a 3-3-5. When I think 3-3-5, I picture something more like a stack that Palestine runs, with alot of blitzing LB's. Technically they may be playing that, but it sure looks like a typical 3-4 from the stands. Just my two cents worth. I think Nac will be a player in their district this year, but Im predicting Kilgore in this one just because I think they are further along at this point than Nac. 38-14 Kilgore
  20. Lol, I was just about to post the same thing. Have no idea what I just read.
  21. Was just getting on to ask some of the Gilmer fans what Henderson looked like compared to Kilgore. Haven’t heard much on what Henderson has coming back outside of Medford and Rose.
  22. Yes he did, I’ll have to look them up when I get a chance. I know he ran out of pitches in the 5th I believe. He wasn’t as sharp as usual, but the Argyle batters did a good job of working deep counts. I know he had a few strikeouts. Gave up 3 runs, not sure on the walks, maybe 1 or 2. That’s what I can remember off the top of my head.
