  1. I was curious about this. Morsi and I think at least one other leader condemned the movie, and I think even asked for some sort of apology from the government or something weird like that. Don't quote me on the second part, though. Are they really that ignorant of how things work, or are they just saying what their resident extremists want to hear out of fear of exile or even death?
  2. I've found this really useful, if you're following.
  3. Protests spread against US over anti-Islamic film - live updates UK and German embassies? What a joke.
  4. How is took 2+ pages to bring up the 1989 snub is beyond me. That is easily the funniest one.
  5. This thread shouldn't have lasted 5 minutes. Disappointing.
  6. I'll definitely have to catch that. Speaking of cult movies, IFC used to show a lot of obscure ones. Anyone ever seen The Cars That Ate Paris? A Boy and His Dog? Thanks to those movies, Mad Max, and a few others I saw at a "susceptible" age, I now assume Australia is a strange science-fiction like wasteland stuck in the 70's where cultures collide. There were some really freaking weird movies in the 70's.
  7. I thought this was really great, but had never heard anything about this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGFDWTC8B8g&hd=1 I think it is due out in 2012. I'm curious as to whether some of the older members of the forum remember hearing anything about Jason Becker. Also, I know you were wondering what the song was around the 2:16 mark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZVKFHkfTds And yes, that is Steve Perry doing vocals.
  8. I honestly wonder they are doing it for the attention at this point.
  9. Platoon and Dr. Strangelove share that honor for me. I haven't exactly seen a ton of war movies I can remember thoroughly, though. I really liked Born on the Fouth of July, as well as Saving Private Ryan, and Full Metal Jacket. I haven't seen Apocalypse Now in its entirety, but I remember A Thin Red Line being way too artsy for me. Tropic Thunder gets an HM.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUA2rDVrmNg Ouch. Awkward. The look on his face says it all.
  11. I don't think Kilgore qualifies as an "underdog".
  12. Is Sulphur Springs in a close one not an option?
  13. Not with that attitude. I'm sure it has been done more than once.
  14. To my understanding, it was still very much a game considering the way points had been scored early on in the game. Had you come back, would it still have been classless? "Word on the street is that DF at Pine Tree has GUARENTEED A WIN over Whitehouse this Friday !" -per Thread
  15. Assuming you mean they can still get it, I'm pretty sure the best Marshall can do is 3-4, which is not likely to be a playoff record, especially with tiebreakers.
  16. You don't necessarily have to be on the tail-end of the deal to realize what the other end is getting isn't "fair" if you feel that way. And I think the argument the people are trying to make is that the primary reason the space between the 99% and 1% is growing so fast is because of the "unfair" distribution of salary within corporations. Lockouts within sports organizations have happened for similar reasons, and the situation is usually resolved, followed by business as usual.
  17. Here are a few pages I enjoyed about the protests. Occupy Wall Street's Age Divide I Went To Occupy Wall Street. This Is What I Saw Occupy Wall Street Spreads Worldwide
  18. Strange. The time you decided to be the bigger man and step out of the argument was right around the time you were put in your place.
  19. Whitehouse, Marshall, Kilgore, and Jacksonville could all very well give them a close game.
  20. Apparently, Boston was 77-0 in games they were leading in the 9th going into this game.
