I kno this is primarily a high school board but, Houston upset OK State! I was very impressed with Coogs O! If I'm a D-1 prospect, I'm putting Coogs on my short list! Lobos have 3 players committed to the Coogs and it seems that is a very good choice! This win could get them some major talent in!

When JT over-hauled and went to spread O, I predicted that with the athletes they have year in and year out, they would be trouble to deal with when they got a feel for what was going on. I think that time is now! Anytime you beat a Outlaw coached Lufkin team, I dont care if they are young, sick, tired, or injured,...you done beat a good team!

If u had digital type radio it worked good. No help for us that have "slide scale" radio at work! You could not pick it up!

Big games like this is why it only makes sense to expand the seating to the "LOBOS" on the hill! :banghead:

A few years ago, Longview was all giddy cause they beat Lufkin in a scrimmage. But when regular season came, it was a different story. Nothing more then a glorified practice. IMO

Let me say this...and I'm not being cocky or big-headed but, if LV doesn't go 16-0 with some hardware at the end, it will be very very disappointing. More-so if no hardware comes at the end of the season. Alot of fans prolly wont admit it but, the pressure is at LV.

You hit the target dead-on right then! We are a team that's built more for spread offenses' Just look at the size and speed of our LB's! My nephew told me LB#47 C.Weaver ran a 4.3 something 40. I knew he was fast but that's blazing...if it's true

Football is king at Longview. Just look at the attendence at away games! There was a a time when girls B-ball was a hot ticket but, its done fell off a bit. In da 90's dey would not lose until the play-offs! Now they're losing district games left and right! The track team is a dissapointment 2 me being a track guy. I look at some of the times they have run in the past 7 or 8 years and wonder what in heck is going on! CJ was my coach in '91 and he taught me alot on and off da track. Maybe it's this new generation of kids and time caught up wit him? You could see this coming when he left coaching the secondary. But one would think after 30years of coaching, he would get better then what he got.

Like 2a Dangerfield mop'd the floor with Celina? And Dangerfield in turn got wallop'd by Gilmer who lost late in the playoffs to Carthage? Hmmm...
