I just want the Longview fans to know this is coming from a place of love. At the end of the day it's just a kids game. I enjoy the back and forth. Some of us have been doing this for about 20 years now. You guys are like extended family that you kinda don't like but your not so bad after all jk. I hope noone took anything personal this week if you did my apologies.I really enjoyed meeting some of you guys last year in Lufkin. Anti and Lobo07 you know you're my guys
Too late! Done made it personal

Who is crying? I made a joke. Stop trying to start drama because you can’t understand the difference.
My dawg right here! Man it's gonna be a good game I believe. LP is better than last year...I think Longview has come back to the pack a little bit. This district is bout to be bananas! Lancaster losing yesterday and if LP pulls the upset...MAAAANNNN! Atmosphere for this one is playoff intensity! Oh and yea...we'll leave the water sprinklers on fa ya

Word from Longview fans, this young man could be the best in the nation by the time he is a senior. His dad went to school and played for the Dawgs.
He is very good

Easily. Won’t hardly break a sweat in this one lol
Yea should be. I don't think Boosie gonna play or Willie is gonna play. Think they will return for big game match up with LP. Both teams should be undefeated. I'm never underestimating LP

I mean, anyone who watched last Thursday knows Longview easily and probably should've won the game. Is what it is. Lots of work to do, and we'll be more than fine. Every single thing that happened Thursday is more than correctable.
The false starts drive me up a freaking wall, but even those are correctable.
Are you so sure they(false starts) are correctable? Atleast 3 years and running now...
Longview prolly has 150 false starts since '20 season

24-10...somebody

Legacy fish are gonna be tough group if they keep that Qb around

Kinda shocked by this. I’ve never seen so many procedure flags from a Longview team.
Next week says..."hold my beer..."

I'd also add 2007 against nationally ranked John Curtis...
2001 dub over Cedric Benson and nationally ranked Midland Lee after getting stomped by them the year before (this game showed the progress King and crew made on the program IMO).
2009 win over Allen. Yes, we were ranked #1 in then 4A. But Allen was ranked #2 in 5A, top 20 nationally and fresh off a state title. Not to mention, 3K more students.
That's the Tyler McCray superman game

For all the older Longview Lobos alumni. Where do y'all rank Andre Davis and Ernest Hunter as for as running backs that has come through Longview?
Both were more than capable. Davis might have been a sophomore when Hunter was a senior. Think Davis started in '91 and '92 seasons

Congratulations to Mavs mile relay team on making it to state! They got sumthg brewing if that 1st leg runs the curve! Pretty good times even with the stiff cool breeze. Hallsville LP and Longview will be represented in Austin. Also a Freshman from LD Hurst(10.36 100m) Soph from Allen(47.5 400m) and a Jr young lady in open quarter 52.4(can't remember the school)stole the show!

So did Whitehouse boys drop the stick or sumthg

Just as we all expected, the Lobos are the last standing
FINAL: Longview 48, Crandall 40
Lobos head to round 3 for the first time since 1992.
The '96 team...they didn't go atleast 3rds?? That was a pretty good team. Toby Thompson Keithan Stewart Ryan Carroll. Damn good players!

IMHO….things are soooo different now than they were then.
Athletes playing in multiple sports in 5A and 6A were commonplace 30 years ago.
Nowadays…. Kids specialize in a sport and play that sport year round in elite leagues… honing their skills. Playing together in some cases for years prior to high school. That’s the norm for metro areas now.
Here in ETX we see it to a much lesser degree. Kids are still playing football and basketball. Or football and baseball. Not as many specialists…. Therefore a lower level of talent.
There are other factors that I think attribute to ETX big schools struggling in basketball. But the specialties/elite leagues are the biggest issue.
But that’s JMHO.
That Longview squad that won state in basketball was very very special. I don't think Longview will ever have a basketball team that talented and that good ever again.

My class was the last class to see the old tennis courts that use to be between the coliseum and cat building.
I remember back in 87 or 88 being at Lobo relays and the other schools thinking Longview was a college compared to their schools. Longview really is big nice school.

Unless things have changed since I roamed the halls of LHS, we did have what you call a 9th grade "hall" or wing. Aka, the skywalk/coliseum area.
We never saw upperclassmen (except in foreign language or fine arts classes), had our own principal's....our own teachers....
I get what you're saying about an official 9th campus, just sorta thought LHS kinda had that in place.
It was added my senior year
