How come the Lobo coaching staff does not develop QB in junior high. With the type athletes Longview has at every position. Just my opinion but they need to hire a coach that knows how to teach that position. With the speed that Lobos have every year. No reason not to have the QB throwing for 2 to 3 hundred yards and running for 150 to 200 yards a game. QB throwing at least 40 touch downs a year.
A balanced attack will win more games than just running the ball. If you need to run to win, you run, if you need to pass, you pass. If you can do both well, Lobos will play for and win many championships. I am a Lobo fan and always pull for them.Dunno...

'22 Timberview, by far. That was the biggest high school line I've ever seen in my life.
Agreed with Anti. That was a D1 offensive line across the board, in high school.
Guyer '08 and Katy '97 OLine was pretty damn big also

Lobos improve to 17-2 (1-1) with a 51-48 win over Marshall. Sloppy, sloppy game from Longview.
Lady Lobos roll over Marshall for their first win over the Lady Mavs in nearly 7 years. Lady Lobos are now 17-6 (3-1) on the year.
Wow! Are you serious?! 7 years?? Wow

They return alot on Def. Cadillac lil brother one of them. And their starting lb's are back.
On Off. I think that qb was a soph. I know they got a couple running backs besides McFall and a couple OL returning.
I really liked the soph Qb. He needs a little weight but he had heart. He gonna be a good player

Unexpected win had to be vs Lufkin. Not that I didn't think Longview would win but the absolute domination shocked everyone.
Loss to Aledo. Much respect to their great program but I honestly believed Longview had the better team this year.

BTW, I know you're looking forward to seeing the freshmen next year.
Kaidon Graves...
Yes! But he tore his whole hamstring off his leg and missed entire football season. I just wonder if injury like that will hamper him rest of his career. If he is fully all go...woooweee man. Crazy a player that damn talented with the ball in his hands might not see the field until his senior season

And yes, there's a QB in that class too.
Boy is there!!

I wouldn’t call Hales first TD a bomb, it was more like a deep out thrown into double coverage. The QB trusted him and he went up and got it. Helluva play.
I would love to see Longview implement slip screens, some air raid route concepts, etc…. To get their guys in better space.
Don’t Change anything in the defensive side of the ball though!!!!
All Longview needs is to get all of their talent involved next year

Not with our play calling. Wishful thinking imo.
King and his staff had three years with Allen. You should know his strength and weaknesses. Instead of trying to play into them, they just tried bombs. Stupid play calling ultimately ended Longview’s season.
Lobos continue to be an amazing program that can’t finish when it’s needed. Is what it is.
The stay tuned...there's more

Single game record is 49,500, 1977, Texas Stadium…. Plano vs. PNG for the state championship. I was there, it was amazing. No game has ever come close to that attendance.
I thought Longview/Westbrook had 48,500 or sumthg close to that...?

The way this team has progressed from Week 1 to Week 17 is incredible. Each week this team kept getting better and better. We faced adversity all year from non-district, to district, to Midlothian, to Longview, to CS who had beat us in '17. Today Aledo left no doubt! Extremely proud of these kids! One of my favorite seasons to follow in many many years.
Congratulations! Top level program!

I don't care what no one says. This was Longview year to win another state championship.
Man I work with 4 starters on the team parents...and to hear them tell their parents how disappointed they were bout how the game was managed was telling. This one stung really hard

Funny, I watched the whole game. Hale was pretty much the only threat LV had in that game.
I'm guessing you're a King basher.
Oh you watched the the game huh...so did my 8 year granddaughter

What are Longview's options at QB next year? Longview's offense was already dangerous but a running QB would of been the difference yesterday.
It's prolly gonna be the back up Qb this year taking the reins next year. He didn't get alot of playing time and when he did he didn't look good. But I believe the job is his...for now. Rumblings bout starting wr opposite of Hale getting a shot also. Whoever it may be will have a plethora of weapons to play with. That's if coaching staff openings the offense up more than just tailback out of the I...and a fullback from the gun

Very impressed by the LV defense. I knew how good they would be but they are so dang tough against the run.
That 3rd qt hurt Longview bad. And not scoring atleast a fg before half didn't help
-
I know Longview has been running the snot outta the ball the whole year but I got a gut feeling Lobos gonna have to makes some plays through the air to win
