I'm not attacking Twine by any means because he is a great ball player but he uses a wooden bat which made me curious about this. How could an umpire tell if a high school baseball player is using a corked bat?? The only way I know how to tell is if the bat breaks (Sammy Sosa incident) or you literally cut the bat in half to check (which is pointless and ruins a bat). Now I am not saying Twine is using a corked bat, don't get me wrong here. This is purely out of curiosity.

This years offensive line and team is one of the worst teams coach Gandy has had in his 8 or 9 year term at Joaquin but by the description of those boys up top it sounds like coach Gandy isn't doing something right or the backs aren't finding the huge holes those big bodies are making.

Its funny how on smoaky (an east texas website) its all about Joaquin winning from people who well most of you live in Joaquin except maybe toothless but by the sound of the name he is somewhere close by to Joaquin. Rocky stopped it one year and the year he stopped it the Gandy, Permenter backfield wasnt fully intact. Now the next year Rocky gave up around 60 points or so and moved out the district the following year. Alto just straight out athleted Joaquin all over the field in 07 and in 08 Joaquin shot themselves in the foot too many times and lost in a close battle so i believe Gardner can thank his athletes for stoppin them. Now tenaha, thats a team the has just blown up the DW for 3 years straight and Gandy has had no answer for it and no answer on how to stop that spread either!! Joaquin needs to hope and pray they dont catch a spead team anytime soon in the playoffs but by the look of the Reg. 3 bracket it should be a cakewalk for Joaquin!

Just think, these three teams will be playing round 2 (which is a joke) while an Alto, Tenaha, Mount/Beckville or Cayuga will be sitting at home. Somebody needs to get that fixed cuz the three BYE teams would get last in both district 19a and 20a!!! And the 3 BYE teams dont get past the 2nd round!!! Yes they're region 4 but man it irritates me to see 2 good teams get knocked out early.

In 05..i think..Hemphill played a Center team and beat them 60 something to 30 something, i really dont remember the score exactly but my point is that next week a team by the name of "Jokequin" beat that Hemphill team 27-7 or something in that area! Yeah im going a few years back but still. And ive heard more about #9 and #5 from "Jokequin" more than ive heard of those linebackers from Center. This is a lose lose situation for Center cuz your comparing yourself to a 1a school, go put those playoff stats up against Gilmer and Carthage. Joaquin this is also a lose lose situation for you cuz Center is better than everyone in there minds. hold up stud-duck (had an old coach that used to say that) dont come to my side just yet! Gus is making pretty valid points and all you can do is tell him to sit next to a bus driver on the short bus all because yall dont agree?!? Me and Gus have a slight difference in our thought but still i like what hes saying. I also like how Gus is standng up to his word (BY HIMSELF). Its easy to be tough and smart when you got a little backup in on the action. Grant it yall may not think yall are sayin anything wrong to Gus, i just kind of thought yall were.
