  1. I guess it is time for people to begin reading literature again in an attempt to work on their articulation skills. It has always been a lack of vocabulary that leads to the use of profanity. Come on guys, you don't have to shut down, just get creative. Certainly there are some brain cells that still work....
  2. I also think the Muleshoe/Littlefield matchup looks tight. I think either Muleshoe, Littlefield or Clyde will go to state between regions 1 & 2. That's not to say Jim Ned could make things difficult, I just don't see it happening.
  3. You're right, we won't put 40 on you, we have more class than that. All we have to do is beat you. But don't believe Arp loses this one, by any s-t-r-e-t-c-h o-f t-h-e i-m-a-g-i-n-a-t-i-o-n. Throw it, run it, doesn't matter. What does matter is this is your last game.
  4. Maybe so, but it looked like WO would win the game after the first half. The WO/J'son game in my opinion was pretty even, kind of a a pick'em spread. I just wonder if WO D failed to show up, their backs did.
  5. Muleshoe over Littlefield, Clyde over Jim Ned, Pilot Point over Gunter, Winnsboro over Troy, Arp over Jefferson, Kirbyville over Anahuac, Altair Rice Consolidated over Geronimo Navarro, Hitchcock over Geo. West are my picks for Regional. 2A D1. I missed on Jim Ned/Early last week and I missed on Jefferson/White Oak. However, both were close. Will there be 2 more upsets? Where? If there is one, I would say it will happen with the Gunter Game. Pilot Point plays well, but something is happening with Gunter...
  6. Kirbyville looks exciting. How was the game. There were not many highlights on Fox. They look pretty diverse.
  7. It would be a huge disappointment if D'field didn't take State in D2. From what I've seen(highlights-don't live close enough), they have outstanding talent. I am sure they have worked hard for it all from top to bottom. The part about the came from the post about being "the best *3-8 team in the state." I took it a little deeper. With the way the bracket is set up, they are a top 16 team. But don't forget, No. 1. K'ville beat No. 10 Corrigan-Camdem; 2. Muleshoe beat no.5 Bushland; No. 7. Kermit lost to no. 8 Littlefield. Everyone playing next weekend is a top 16 team. BTW, I don't have time to look, but according to the scores across the state, they might be the best 7-4 team in the state. Anyone know if there are any other 7-4 teams still in the playoffs?
  8. Evidently, their competiton has been 4 losses against 4 play-off teams, two of them 3A. North Lamars, Pittsburgs, or Daingerfields, plus the district games. Oh, and they beat White Oak in a real tight contest. 39-35 Jefferson over White Oak
  9. You're right, we did not play North Lamar, Pittsburg or D'field. Yall did. who was the other loss to? And, btw, are you suggesting J'son is the best 7-4 team in the state? Arp won't take J'son lightly. They come out of a district that has some spice for sure. I'm just stating they aren't THE team from their district. I'm stating they are better than a 3-8 team, but not the best 7-4 team out there. It will be a dog/cat fight. In the end, Arp comes out on top. In a previous post I thought WO would come through in the end, they almost did, so, personally, although it doesn't really matter, I tip my hat to the young men & coaches with J'son. I think this will be the game of the week in region 3 for 2A D1 & D2.
  10. All I am gonna say is that WR IS BETTER than Jefferson. 34-14 against J'son right? And I know J'son scored a cheap one at the end. D'field is too fast. WR is good, real good and will need to how important and focused this game needs to be for them. the question is, will that be enough. How did yall fare against J'son, were you focused, were they focused, was it all even, across the board(minus the score & talent)?
  11. No one takes J'son lightly. Arp will win this game. 39-35 win in the first round? Because of an end of the game turn over? Am I right? If so, my bad. J'son will hang in there, but no more than Teague hung in there with Arp. Teague fought all game long. they never gave up. nayone who was at the game would say the same thing. D'field is THE team in your district. I mean, forget about the mess-up with the forfeiture of 4 games. That still suggests that you are a 4 loss team. Right? If someone doesn't make a deal out of proper filing of paperwork, you guys are 7-4, right. Loss to D'field and who else? But are they the best 7-4 team in the state? No.
  12. Don't worry yourself. Or, maybe you should...
  13. Remember, 9-0, 5 to go. Don't only start strong, but finish stronger! Arp Wins.
  14. Region 3 looks pretty much set. region 1 & have a couple of toss up games from the opinion of the polling choices. I am surprised at the lack of belief/support that is being shown towards Jefferson. Certainly their fans believe in them. Or at least more than 4.
  15. Just for clarity, i was referring to the forfeiture of games when I mentioned the bit about things coming out at the very last week.
  16. Muleshoe, Littlefield, Clyde, Early, Pilot Point, Gunter, Winnsboro, Troy, WO, Arp, K'ville, Altair Rice, Geronimo navarro, Hitchcock, Geo. West are my picks for Bi-district. 2A D1.
  17. The goal is to win, not beat someone by 25 points, but by at least one point. 1 point, 25, it doesn't matter when you line up to face the next team. Those who don't understand, just don't understand.
  18. For Region 3, 2A, D1 Arp beating Teague Kirbyville beating Corrigan Camdem Now, Jefferson White Oak is a compelling game. WO runs like a beast, but is pretty one-dimensional. J'son is just plain athletic and talented, but they don't always stay focused. You can get in their head. If J'son plays with discipline they win. If they pout & get out of the game, WO takes them out even though J'son makes a late comeback. I'll pick WO over Jefferson, just because I don't think Jefferson will handle the mental grind of 3-1,000 yd backs. WO has the potential of really giving everyone a hard time. J'son has the same potential.
  19. D'field & Newton would be a game to see. This week I have 2 A D2 REGION III Daingerfield beating Harleton West Rusk beating Hearne New Waverly beating San Augustine Big Sandy Harmony beating Hughes Springs Troup beating Franklin (I could be wrong) Newton beating Buffalo
  20. AP CLASS 2A Rk., School Rec. Pts. Pvs. 1. Refugio (11) 10-0 178 1 2. Kirbyville (4) 9-0 159 2 3. Muleshoe (3) 10-0 156 4 4. Arp (2) 9-0 148 3 5. Blanco 10-0 111 5 6. Altair Rice 9-0 76 6 7. Cisco 9-1 57 7 8. Daingerfield 9-1 47 8 9. Bushland 10-0 46 10 10. Clyde 9-1 44 9 Others receiving votes: Kermit 32. Littlefield 20. Grandview 14. Pilot Point 4. New Waverly 3. Corrigan-Camden 2. Amarillo Highland Park 1. Gunter 1. Caddo Mills 1. This is the current ranking from AP. Kirbyville, Muleshoe, Arp, Altair Rice, Bushland, Clyde, Kermit, Littlefield, Pilot Point, & Corrigan-Camdem are the top 10 in this Division. This weekend(Round 1), things will definitely change. 1. K'ville v. 10. Corrigan 2. Muleshoe v.5. Bushland 7. Kermit v. 8. Littlefield These look like exciting games, at least thre shuld be soem hype. If the AP is at least close to the pin, Altair Rice OUGHT to run through Region 4; K'ville, CC & Arp will scrap it out for region 3; Pilot Point should slide through Region 2; Muleshoe, Bushland, Kermit, & Littlefield will scrap for Region 1. Pick'em.
  21. Arp & Dfield. Athletes. Coaching. Discipline. Execution. Know too many people with Dfield background. Too familiar with Arp. Easy call. Both squads will be able to adapt to the different schemes thrown out each week.
  22. All you need to know is that the Dixie Cafe is there. It is a grest stop on the way to Padre Island when you are on your way for a nice vacation. It's also just outside of College Station (20 minutes).
  23. It has some mistakes on it right now so i would just leave it alone. For example, Winnsboro, unless the football gods called UIL, is playing edgewood, not Kerens. It's not done, and what they have is not all correct. :homer:
