  1. Let me know when West Rusk beats Hennason, Chapel Hill, Pitt.... Don't worry, we got who we were after. I've been to the practices. Coaches are doing a great job.

I am not the one complaining about the Tatum coaching staff.

No disrespect to Barker at all. I was just making the point that you can't complain after your board nixed a hire for this guy. It just don't make sense to complain about him to me.

  2. Tatum has the talent to win,the problem is not the players that's all I will say.

    my opinion

Could have had Frazier from West Rusk, Whom by the way has the Waidas undefeated, but the board pulled a stunt. Yall are lucky anyone wants to coach there after that fiasco.

  3. It was the correct call. lol dude looked like an olympic hurldler.

You are correct. I have the picture to prove it. It was an impressive jump though. Also have heard there was a lame excuse there was a cut. That is also false. kid steps, and has his head down, but has both feet on the ground.

  4. Ha!! Stop it ughhh... good thing there's still one more gm to force a third gm. Kilgore came into todays gm assuming Gilmer would come out lightly and now Kilgore got a reality check. Now i wanna see how they respond knowing that their season will end if they lose one more gm in this series. Its a good thing to know that if they win tomorrow and force a gm 3 the 3rd gm will be played on Saturday instead of 30 minutes after gm 2. Smitherman will get an extra day to rest and i know Smitherman wants another shot at Gilmer.

But congrats to Gilmer on shutting out Kilgore tonight 3-0 thats not an easy task to do especially against Kilgore's hitting squad. They have been a run scoring machine this yr.. Again HATS OFF to Gilmer's pitcher and team tonight.

Smitherman is done on the bump for the series. New pitch count rules say he can't come back for 4 days, because he threw 110 pitches last night.

  5. They should hire him. I bet no one is knocking the door down on this job.

He would be good. He's 24 or 25, but he's been coaching since he was 20.

I just think it'd be a tough first job for a guy that young. I don't know him that well, but I think he's in a pretty good situation at Gilmer.

I will say the few times I have talked to him I have been impressed. He will be a name to look at in a year or 2 for sure.

  6. The Crusaders have a certified Waskom Wildcat killer on their coaching staff I believe.

Chad Hlavaty used to give them nightmares in baseball... and he didn't lose to them in football I don't think.

And don't get your wildcat undies all bunched up... He did it to us too!
