Honestly if he was coming in for Spring then I might say he had the chance to be RB#1 from the beginning. I am not impressed with anyone in the RB room. I think the running game issues this year (which honestly was still better than average, but not what Oklahoma has been accustomed too) were 85% on the RBs and 15% on the O-line.

If Tatum is what he is supposed to be then He will be RB#1 by the end of the season. Nobody in that RB room right now is special.

DeBoer replaces retired legend Nick Saban at Alabama

Caden Proctor too. āIf you want to laugh, Google the phrase āAlabama recruits itselfā and consider how wrong the past three days have proven that statement. Most of those players didnāt come to play for Alabama. They didnāt care how many national titles the Crimson Tide claimed or how glorious Bryant-Denny Stadium is or how beautiful it sounds when those first strains of Skynyrd fire up a half-hour before each game. Bear Bryant is just a statue to them. They came to play for Nick Saban. Saban plans to stay around the program, which should help some. But he wonāt coach these players day-to-day. The coaches from those other schools are going to tell those players that from now on Saban might as well be just another statue. ā This quote from an On3 pretty much sums up the situation. -

They all have the same agent lol. Honestly thatās why I was fine with Debaor. I knew he would not pull any guys off Oklahomaās staff like some others might. -

I count Oklahoma state as a Texas school. Stillwater is closer to DFW than San Antonio. -
Not on the boys side.

I think the general consensus was that could not cover so he would get toasted in the Big 12. I also think he had an acl injury as well. No shot Oklahoma is in the mix for this. They already canāt play all of the LBs they have .

This is what made Saban different than other great coaches. His teams never had that inexplicable loss. -
Pretty soon we will have said this for a decade lol.

I just feel like Traylor only works at a school in Texas. Could be wrong though. -
They have won games so it canāt be.

Pretty sure Lawson was planning on doing something different this year even before accepting the Waskom job.

I felt both ways. I think Sark is overrated as a coach and donāt want Texas to hire some who isnāt. but It would have been funny to watch them scramble and they donāt have a great track record of hiring a good coach. -

I wanted it to be Sark or Kiffin just for the funny stuff. He is the least funny choice. -

Parents make stupid decisions all the time, and kids do too. Small schools are the only place where high school sports can be what they are meant to be. Working to bring accomplishments for the community you grow up in with the people you grow with. Big Schools have lost their way.

High school athletics isn't completely about moving on to college athletics. 7% of kids go on to play college sports. 2% of kids make it in Division 1.

There is no amount of camps that my 5'8 guard can go to sharpen his skills enough to be a college basketball player. College Players are determined by genetics 99% of the time.
-
I would be extremely irritated if I had a basketball player that I was counting on get injured at a camp for football or baseball on a weekend in the middle of the actual season of the sport he was playing.

Alabama had their least talented group of WRs in 7 years this past season. I would not get too excited.
