Former Liberty-Eylau Standout, Will Middlebrooks P/SS, made his MLB Debut Wed night vs the Oakland A's. Will went 2-3 with a 2B, BB, SB, and K. Today he hit his first MLB HR, a grand-slam vs the Orioles. He is the first Red Sox player to have an extra base hit in his first three games. He doubled vs the O's on Friday.

LE defeats Mt. Vernon 9-3 behind the 4 hit pitching of Javon Rigsby. LE now is 2-3 in District as is Mt. Vernon

I love your attitude. I wish more young people had that. Not all can be the Stud, but what alot of people don't take into account is it is the 2nd and 3rd teamers who line up as scout teamers mon thru thurs and make the 1st teamers better. Middlebrooks' Slam, 5 RBI Lead Sox to 10-6 Win Red Sox Win 11th Straight at BB&T Coastal Field 07/05/2010 10:56 PM ET Myrtle Beach, SC (July 5, 2010) - Will Middlebrooks' towering grand slam to straight-away center in the seventh inning gave the Red Sox a lopsided 10-2 lead, and the Sox hung on for the 10-6 victory on Monday night at BB&T Coastal Field, perpetuating a one-sided Southern Division-rivalry between Salem and Myrtle Beach. The win was Salem's 12th in 13 meetings with the Pelicans in 2010, and it also served as the 11th consecutive victory for the Red Sox at BB&T Coastal Field, dating back to one year ago exactly. In those 11 games, the Red Sox have outscored the Pelicans 84-28. Middlebrooks finished 3-5 and drove in five more runs after his three-RBI night on Sunday. He also scored three runs and triggered a vital double-play when the Pelicans loaded the bases with nobody out in the third. Will Middlebrooks is a 2007 grad of LE and currently playing in the Red Sox Farm system.
