I had the same thoughts over the summer but now I'm convinced. Silsbee fans had the same arguments going into the game and came out saying yep they are just as good. I think QB has good vision and maybe a little more accurate. He is also a huge run threat. I think Newton is more balanced so far and they use everyone! I think WOS will be close but Newton is two scores better than Gilmer.

I just watched this team walk all over a good Silsbee team that hung with PNG last week. The only school in 3A that can beat Newton once play offs start is Newton.

Silsbee was never in this one. Newton had some injuries and key starters out. I thought it would be closer. Newton for real again.

That's funny I was thinking the same thing. It's not just fans that played but the more advocates are the once doubters but then seen them play live. Some of the things this team does well does not show up on paper or a 2 min highlight video.

Let's not forget people that you should win with just as much class as you lose with. There was alot of mess talked during the week. Most have come on here and admitted that Newtons eye test is much more than any film or highlights could give them. DF could very easily be the best team in 3a D2 besides Newton. Newton impressed last night and made a statement to the rest of the state. Congrats DF on a successful season and glad to see your moving in the right direction again.
