Wasnt he the baseball coach there at one time or am i thinking of someone else. I want to say his brother is the lee baseball coach. Mabey I am way off on this but just woundering.

So is it back to the drawing board or do they have someone in mind? March 1st is right around the corner and that was when they wanted to have it filled. How many where interviewed for the position?

I hear you!!! Would they really do that. The game has changed alot. Its going to take someone with a lot of energy to do that job.

If you go with this everybody is a winner thing, then good i am all for it. But can you tell me why coaches get fired all the time for not winning games? I understand your point about a coach needs to have all qualites of being a great person and lead by example. All I am saying is that there a lot of coaches who are GOOD GUYS but not good coaches. I hope that I eat crow on this deal and that QC gets back on track because I want nothing more than to see them suceed on and off the field. But right now it doesnt look like a great move by the QC admin.

The question I have is just because the guy has been through three head coaches, how does that all of the sudden make you a good head coach. I am only asking because that is why people around here seem to think he will do a good job. I am not a coach so mabey one of the other coaches on here can answer that for me.

Just Like QC do the easy thing, Dont want to make anyone mad. I know for a fact that there where a few interested coaches with much better resumes that wanted that job. Well I guess i will have to sit through another year of bad football. I guess its ok I am use to it. :thumbdown:

I think you guys are misunderstanding what I am trying to say. Queen City has always went for 2nd best. Its time our admin goes out and find someone that can get the job done. I am tired of the good ole boy system at QC. I think our Sup is a good man and supports athletics to the fullest, you cant tell me he cant get on the phone and find us a good coach. Not to say the coaches we have already arent good. But if they weren't hired the last 3 coahing changes what makes you think it is going to be any different. You have a old football coach working in your admin office, he knows other coaches get him in on the process. Thats all I will say about all of this. I will now sit back and wait to see what happens. And if you guys are woundering yes I am from Queen City and I have several family memebers still in school there, some that are involved with athletics and I want to see them do well. And just for the record I think Coach Duck did one hell of a job and I hate to see him go.

I'm not saying that I'm just saying they need to start over and build a future there. they had 3 head coahes in five years, i think. I am just saying they need to get someone who will invest in the program be there more than 2 years.

They arent going to hire from within are they. I hope not. We need young fresh coach. Someone who knows all about East Texas. I am just asking because they are very tight liped over there and that worries me.

Any word on when this job will be posted? I am very intrested to see who will apply or who they will go after. Oh and what happen with coach Duck? Other then what he said,was there more to the story? I was just woundering I thought he was a good guy.

I think Barber might have got out of coaching. Thats what I heard anyway.

So who do they hire? Here are a few names for you- Paul Barber (dont know if he would be intersted or not) Clay Berry (former coach under Ivy and Assistant at Lufkin High) Mabey a big name OC from a good east Texas Team Also Blake Evans was at Lufkin with Berry and I think he is coaching at college now I may be wrong...He was a student at QC. I dont know they just have a lot of talent and I just think they need a GOOD coach!!!!!!
