  1. I know there's nothing like the feeling under those Friday night lights in front of thousands of fans, but after attending a few basketball games this year I've noticed some schools have unique atmospheres. There might not be as many people in attendance as football games, but you still get a sense of intensity and passion. So who out there has a good team and even better home court adv? Any suggestions for schools worth the time and money to see at their own house?
  2. North takes it in football. Scotty Young at QB, Byndom, and Terrell at WR=Nasty.
  3. Smartest post in the thread. WH had major success with the deep ball, why stop? Or better yet, why not start earlier? Seemed like the o waited until midway through the second quarter to launch it... But kudos and good luck to SS.
  4. Metoyer and Conder put up some impressive numbers for their first time together since 8th grade. :notworthy: Top QB-WR duo in east texas?
  5. Funny you should say that, because I watched the LV vs LT championship game on Fox yesterday. LV was in the game until McCray went down and from that point on the only offensive highlights for LV was a punt for 1 yard, a stick on the LV backup RB on a screen, and the backup to the backup RB (soph) hitting a long TD run against the scrubs of LT. McCray is the LV offense. If he is healthy, LV wins. If not, then Allen will win in a very close and low scoring game.
  6. Yes FnB's site is really in depth and totally legit!! :notworthy: But I'm sayin the ville will finish in top 3.
  7. This is straight from the article. It says Lindale, and the qualifier you are talking about where SS played WH JV team in pool play, was in Tyler. So... no, the article has the scores backwards. These teams played in Lindale about two weeks after the tournament in Tyler and SS had two QBs playing in all three games. QB Lee got more PT, but the other QB did not look bad when he played. The other QB might be better than Lee if he was a little taller or muscled up. I agree that 7 on 7 does not mean a whole lot to real football, especially because SS strength will be in both lines this year. My point is that the SS skill positions on both sides of the ball did not look nearly as good as last year's group did. SS will be a good team, but it is going to be a much different team than last year's team.
  8. I know for a fact that WH scored on every offensive possession except one... and when SS took over after stopping WH, SS was picked off for a TD. So.. yes, the score for that game was reported in reverse. WH stomped them.
  9. HAHAHAHA your score is backwards!!! WH killed SS and even Lindale beat SS!!! hahaha nice try. PS Lee won by a td also.
  10. No way without a doubt the best gunslinger WH ever had was Luke Shivers!!!!! haha
  11. I kinda remember that happening. What was the kid's name again? That was last year or two years ago..?
  12. As a WH fan I'd have to say DeJuan Shelton, he could bring it!
  13. I am not sure how LV will do against Lufkin. Probably will be a close game and the home field advantage may help Lufkin win. It would not shock me to see Lufkin win. However, I would be surprised if Longview did not beat Allen. Allen does not have the WR that they had last year and I do not think they are as good of a team overall as they were last year. Their OL will be better, but other than that I dont think they will be "better" at the other positions while I think Longview will be as good or better at just about every position compared to their team last year... AND the game is at Longview. Again, the home field advantage favors LV.
  14. You can not wear Reno's Bowtie!!! He would be nekked without his bowtie.... and nobody wants to see Reno nekked!
  15. That is pretty impressive company right there! I may have to brush my teeth and tuck in my shirt... Can I borrow a belt?
  16. Glad to know what you will be eating when you take me out for my steak dinner!
  17. IDK but I think I could run through the holes that the Kilgore o-line makes!
  18. Good to hear that Lavey should be OK for the game. It always makes the games better when both teams are at full strength. Hope he is fully recovered soon.
  19. Word on the street is MLB Caleb Lavey is out potentially for the year after having screws inserted into one of his feet.
