There is a concern here for all games in the area Friday evening with the lightening that is predicted. If this occurs, Either these games won't start on time or be delayed or cancelled. I know back in 2008 after IKE Lukin played on a Wednesday, Monday, Friday stretch to get all their games in that year. We had our game with Beaumont Westbrook cancelled because of the hurricane and North Shore came up to Lufkin a week or two later to play on what would have been our off week because they needed a game. That was a Wednesday game.

Yes, a couple times. Once at a Lufkin- Tyler Lee game at Abe and Lufkin- The Woodlands game in The Woodlands, both because it was pouring.

Well, if it is raining it's going to be a boring quiet game because the bands won't be out in it. Most of their instruments are too expensive to get wet.

Back to Lufkin @ Ennis, it looks to be monsoonal come Friday.....Got my Frog Togs ready to go, thankfully it won't be cold.

You know that Alvarez coached briefly at Lufkin back in the early Outlaw days. He has really done well everywhere he has been since that time. Good coach. Lufkin is not the program it once was but we are still competitive.

Well. Lufkin runs the ball pretty well too. They have 4 or 5 guys that can tote it pretty good. Just hope we can stay close to those State Champs.

No prediction from me . Lufkin has been like a box of chocolates lately, never know what your going to get from them week to week. The bottom line is the turnovers, as in the last two games have cost them, that stuff needs to go away. If Lufkin can correct that problem, they will be okay.

This is a no brainier. Not sure you have much to talk about with this game. Mt Pleasant is just hoping to survive this one,

It was going to end. In fact in some dark way, I was hoping Lindale would make that FG to drive home a point in front of the Lufkin crowd. The coaches implore all the fans to come out and pack the place for home games, but you would think they would play better with that many home folks there to watch

Not the dark side. Just do not understand the minds of coaches anymore. Just like you guys wonder about King sometimes. You see the talent but you wonder what they see......................have not missed a single Pack game since 1996. If we had lost last night that streak would have ended because I was not going to Ennis.

We played hard and hung on until the end for the win. We will hear the same thing when we lose in the first round again. Really proud of the kids they played hard.. We waste so much talent. Need a new direction.

From the UIL site: In ties with three teams or more, what should be the maximum game margin counted for point-differential? This must be decided by each individual district. Will the distrct point-differential include just positive points (for a win) or also negative points (for a loss)? After a team is eliminated on point differential, will the tiebreaker stay with points or go back to head-to-head? At what point will we go to a coin flip?, which is the last option. Each district must decide how they will handle their own tie breaking system. It can get complicated.

Your leaving the State Champ Ennis out of this deal, long way to go to claim that Gold Ball. Lufkin takes a big step this Friday and gets the JT out of the way and put the Lions back in line to face the Lobos again. Ennis is still on the table for both of us. They are still #1 in my book until someone knocks them over.

Lufkin has a big O line and a very good running package. Our QB Rodgers is elusive like the JT quarterback and we go 3 or 4 deep at RB. If the weather limits the passing, it limits it for both teams.

Lufkin has the advantage at home., it will be a better game than some are predicting because there are huge playoff positioning implications with this one. Lindale has a great defense, but so does Lufkin, however Lufkin's offense is much better than Lindale's. I think you can throw all that out the window for this one. Doesn't need to be a blow out, just a win for Lufkin would suffice.

If Lufkin's Oline protects better, I think Kordell has a good game. The Lufkin D will need to continue to play well, they seem to have a good understanding of the new system now, the front 7 is playing well. Never know about a shootout situation on the road.

You have to remember that the combined record of Every team Corsicana played before the Lindale game was 1-9. So how good was Corsicana?
