Lufkin a 59-41 winner over Forney will now face Sulphur Springs. The two top teams out of 16-5A and 15-5A. This will be one to watch wherever it is played.

Lufkin Panthers defeat the Texas High Tigers tonight in Timpson 62-47. Brandon Walker led all scorers with 25 points.

Lufkin Boys win 61-40 over Huntsville. Lufkin Lady Pack win 43-37 over a tough Marshall Girls team. They will now play Royse City. Lufkin lost the coin flip and will play in Jacksonville at 6 PM on Friday.

Jacksonville pulled out a big win in Lufkin 52-44 to tie up the 16-5A boys basketball district race with one game to go. Jacksonville down 9 at the half held Lufkin to 12 points in the 2nd half and 2 points in the 4th quarter. Both are now 8-1 in district.

Lufkin wins 58-40 over Nacogdoches to go 8-0 in district and 30-3 on the season. Set up big game Friday night in Lufkin with Jacksonville.

Not only did Gamble leave Lufkin for Alto, he also took our WR coach with him. He was here only two years and gone. Hope Alto can find someone to keep their program at a high level that will stay around for 3-4 years.

Lufkin wins 75-64 over @ Tyler High to go 29-3 on the year and 7-0 in District. Elijah Johnson led all scorers with 22 points and Elijah Moody with 15

Whitehouse tried their best to slow the ball down tonight, however Lufkin managed to endure 44-29 to go 6-0 in district and 28-3 on the year.. A big game in Tyler this Friday night. Tyler lost at Jacksonville 73-55.

Lufkin boys Basketball are 27-3 on the year, the TABC site does not have the correct record in their standings. There are probably others in their rankings list that are incorrect too. Lufkin played a bunch of tournament ball early.

Lufkin won 54-50 at Jacksonville. Lufkin is now 26-3 and 4-0 in district. Lufkin girls won at home over the Jacksonville girls 36-13. They are now 17-12 and 4-2 in district.

Lufkin is now 25-3 on the season and 3-0 in district play. Lufkin and Jacksonville may fight it out, but any slip up and Tyler High is right there. Lufkin has a pretty good inside game and get on the boards well too, they don't mainly count on the three ball to get the job done. Jacksonville has that big three that are a hard match up for most teams.

Lufkin wins the tournament championship 70-44 over Longview today in Lufkin. The Lobos beat Lufkin Hudson 53- 47 earlier in the day.

Texas High D is legit. Shut down a decent Texas City team last week too.

Still a 6A program. Anyway, it may be different now that A&M is without their starting QB. Tough break when you need key people in the playoffs. Every team runs that maze every week. I think Marshall had to play their backup QB today too.

I sat on the Crosby side today. Whew They had better be ware of A&M Consolidated. They have played a tough schedule, even beat 6A Converse Judson.

I told you guys Magnolia West was good. They only beat Lufkin 28-14 at Magnolia.

Magnolia West is 9-1, they have scored 357 points while giving up 169. They have rushed for over 2400 yards, thrown for over 1500 yards. Bilbo is their leading rusher with over 1300 yards and Aroca has 750 yards. QB Brock Dalton has thrown for almost 1300 yards and ran for 200 and spreads the ball around to 5 different WRs. They have an OL that will knock you on your butt all game long. MW had 350+ yards against College Station last week, only trailed 27-20 at halftime before CS pulled away in the 2nd half to win 41-20. College Station is very very good. Mag West plays well at home. Defensive front 7 is pretty good, very good LBs. Secondary is average, but they don't make many mistakes or turn over the ball, but they will capitalize on their opponents mistakes. What they will do is get Chippy with you, both Magnolia schools are good at that.
