  1. Yeah I'll back that toe... From my highly educated and impressively experienced *cough cough* point of view I would say that Harmony, Rosebud-Lot, and MPCH are all pretty evenly matched. You could put em in a round robin pool and all of them end up 1-1. Lookin at it that way I would think 10-15 is a good number, BUT this is the playoffs, go big or go home right? Lets hope that prediction holds up!!! Go Cards!!!
  2. Now that i got my dig in... I gotta say that WR won the hustle battle tonight, at least for 3 qtrs. Great job keeping their butts down, their heads up, and being physiccal on defense. As for offense, I dont know that i have ever seen such hot hands from behind the arc. They lit it up in the first half. In the end, Sabine gutted it out for the win because thats just what great teams do but WR can hold their heads up high. If they shoot better than 50% (or really close to ti) from the line this game could have a whole different look in the last few minutes. Was a great game to get the cards prepped for the next level! Go cards!
  3. mmmh mmmmh mmmmh oh my! Apperently 63 was as many as the Raiders let em score and 50 was as many as the Raiders wanted to score... wuteva
  4. Thanks. and I seriously hope that Kountze doesn't think that they saw the best Sabine has. I, personally have not seen Sabine ever commit so many unforced turnovers in one game. A lot like you guys against HJ. I think if yall would have taken care of the ball in that game you would have won. Any way, good luck to you guys I think yall can do well this year, got some serious shooters over there.
  5. On my way to HJ Baby! Dipsy Doodle! Gimme The Rock! lol gosh I love Dick Vitale
  6. As of Monday, Rusk is ranked #25. At the posting time they were 6-2
  7. This is not at the heart of the thread's subject, but has anyone else noticed that this thread is like 10 pages shorter and noticabley quieter than this time last year? Man, you hand WO a couple of surprise losses early in the season and it's almost boring in here! :highfive:
  8. I'm sure it's the farthest thing from the actual players' minds, but us fans would sure like to see Sabine get some vengance against the team that handed us 2 of our 5 losses last year! If I remember correctly we lost by 1 (or a very slim margin) in one game and by like 10 (or so) in the other. I don't know about HJ, but I believe that Sabine is a better team than they were last year. Should be fun...
  9. erm... uh... ah... o...k...? (Vince Vaughn voice)
  10. man! I wish I was gonna be there! I don't think comparing commen opponents tells the tale in round ball too much though. Imo basketball is a game of match ups. You can match up well against a really good team and win and not so well with a marginal team and if you don't bring your "a" game... get stomped.
  11. Byrd is a streaky shooter that can really contribute from the perimeter, but I don't think I realized how much he was going to be missed on defence until he was MIA. He blocks a lot of shots and with out him the defence seems to be missing that quickness that Kenna and he himself supplied last year. I'm sure as the year wears on that these guys will get their sea legs under them, but I would like to see someone step up and take the ball inside and not depend so much on the jumper and perimeter shots. I mean we are a talented group of shooters and can win with that alone 99% of the time, but if you move inside consistantly it opens that stuff on the outside up even more. I will admit though, that I have missed a lot of the most recent games so maybe they already are doing just that... I look forward to seeing them play again as soon as possible. Go Cards!
  12. Yes Kirk is back and so is Jackson along with Byrd, Royce, Montana, Haskins and Chumley. Actually Sabine only lost two from last year's team and one of them was interchangable with a starter for this year. So... you could say they only lost one position player and he is replaced by the very capable Royce down low.
  13. My source on the street tells me Sabine 69 East Chambers 52 as the final on pool play game number 1
  14. wow... that's crazy I don't think I have ever heard of that before! Hey Sports, can you post the HJ tourney bracket/schedule/results as they come to you? I seriously doubt I will be able to catch all of the games but I would like to try for a late friday game if there is one and saturday too.
