  1. They will never be backed off of 17. If they are then they know something that the rest of East Texas don't. More than likely he will have one on his outside hip, one five yards inside, and one 15 yards over the top. You can't let that guy beat you. You just won't see a base coverage against those. And to those who want to get rid of the bubble screen, if they have the numbers they should throw it every time, its the other receivers jobs to block for the guy with the ball. It's nothing but a toss sweep really
  2. I know when my dad coached there back in the 80's he tried to get them to approve some black or navy trim around the numbers just so they would stand out a little more. They looked at him like he just shot the president, haha
  3. Lol let him have it baseballwildcat, sounds like he's been hitting the peace pipe
  4. Use any of these definitions you think may apply, I like number 5 1. A brandname of peanut butter. 2. A term used to describe somthing that is really cheesy, flimsy or cheap. This particular definintion of the word was developed from the poor kids of the late nineteen seventies and early eighties whose families could not afford Nike or Converse sneakers. Instead, they were left with no choice but to wear "Skippies." Skippies were a generic blue sneaker usually with three stripes on the sides(number of stripes varied from 2-4). Skippies were available at budget minded stores such as K-Mart or Spags. Within the store, Skippies could be found tied together(no box or packaging)piled loose in bins often located in the isle. Skippies were of poor quality and fell apart quickly. Their appearance was cheap fancyboy or gay. Hence anything cheap, flimsy or generic in nature can be called skippy. Or, if something looks cheesy or gay it canbe reffered to as "Skippy" 3. A term used to show that you not only agree with another's comment, but that you strongly agree. 4. Any misguided individual who is in blatant denial and/or so completely deluded as to be completely beyond reasoning with. Sometimes used to address just any hapless individual. 5. a nickname for an australian 6. lebanese/greek/etc-australian term for anglo-australians. derived from 1970s children's television program featuring a kangaroo of the same name. may be either merely descriptive or an insult, depending on context. a form of linguistic retaliation against the anglo-australian use of the word "wog" in reference to immigrants of medeteranian heratige. sometimes shortened to "skip".
  5. Not sure what you mean by the name and location are to your left, maybe you could clear that up for me too
  6. Cordial would not be the word I would use to describe the tone of your post, maybe it was intended that way, but it sure didn't come off sounding that way.
  7. I still don't know that it's a fact unless you are all knowing, and have the DNA tests to prove it
  8. I said or so I heard, that means don't take it as a fact Skippy
  9. Probably because Toya Jones also ran a 9.9 that year that was wind aided, those times were at the state meet not personal bests, and he won it easily. I can't believe Roger Reed is on there in the 800M, not because he ran a 1:55 but because he was my coach as a freshman. Never knew he could go like that
  10. Part of this has to do with some of this new growth on the south side is in Whitehouse ISD's school zone not Tyler ISD. Not Sure where Bullard's ends but the Whitehouse zone goes all the way to Shilo Rd.
  11. They return most of the running backs, and will add a sophmore scat back that broke off a 20 yard run on a cut back across the field against longview last year. His name is Sanders, his cousin was the kid from JT that took the kickoff back against Lee so I've heard. The running game will be fine as long as they keep the offense in tact for the most part. I know Air Reno left, but if it ain't broke don't fix it.
  12. Ebby Calvin Lalouche would be my bet
  13. man what a great idea I wonder if I could get away with that at 31. There are a few junior high kids in my neighborhood that I'd love to shut up on the court
  14. How many rounds deep did they go this year, its not like they are one of the largest schools now. They moved up, they wont be able to reload as easily. I know that the drive and desire will not die down as long as the community stays behind them like they have. I suspect they will compete well in the playoffs as always
  15. Its a pretty common practice, as an AD you llok for people you can trust to keep a program going in the direction you envision, and who can you trust more than someone that grew up in your own system not to mention your own house.
  16. Did you patch the hole in the floor I fell through last year? I know the extra hair weighs me down a little but I'm not that big an ole boy, haha. Seriously congrats on the retirement, and enjoy it, I'm sure a lot of East Texas coaches will.
  17. May not top it but I can get close. Shane Lechler started 4 years as QB, MLB, K, P for East Bernard in the mid 90's. Went to TAMU as a quarterback, and ended up becoming one of the best, if not the best punters in the NFL. He was 6'3" 230 then, and ran a legit 4.6, I saw a highlight of him getting beat to the corner by some returner this year, and couldn't help but laugh. I guess age, and hamburgers gets to us all. Shane was a freak back then, not to many kickers could put it out the back of the endzone, stuff the run for a 2 yard loss, and throw a ball 70+ yards.
  18. If I'm from Bullard, I'd be fired up about this. You've got a chance to get a guy from one of the most decorated programs of all time. I would never have imagined they could land a coach of this caliber. Good luck coach, and folks don't expect overnight success
  19. I think this is a first year program, so they will be able to build their own tradition. Good luck to all those going!
  20. They should call Chapel Hill and see who did their field then. Its a multi-purpose field with gold endzones, and the soccer lines change from gold to blue when they cross over. Its a pretty sharp looking surface. If I remember correctly, may have been blue endzones with gold lines, but in any case I know that the lines change color.
