  1. I can"t believe that Winns "threw" two passes much less touchdown passes. Good job!
  2. North Teaxs signed two East Texas kids in their 2011 class. Lairamie Lee, DB from Chapel Hill and Cooper Jones,QB from Lone Oak.
  3. Im sure that excuse was used as not to burn bridges. Coach Finney will want to be a head coach again and is smart enough not to call out a person or persons that caused him make his decision. Sometime a coach finds out no matter how hard you work, that the powers that be make it impossible to win.
  4. You know the Dallas newspaper won't write anything about Lone Oak because we are to far east of town. No one on Smoakey thinks Lone Oak is in east Texas so they get no respect at all. Ol'e franksnbeans won't give Lone Oak any love on the Old Coach. So after a lot of thought I think Lone Oak must be an orphan, the redheaded step child, the fat kid nobody likes. If your not busy come to Commerce Thursday night and watch two well coached teams play and maybe the Buffs can gain a little respect from some of you "east" Texas boys.
  5. I watched Cooper last Friday and I believe they are a better team than the team Lone Oak faced in game 5. The RB was very good but the running of the QB Heuy against Harlton was a threat that was not seen in the first game with Lone Oak. I am still not certain that Cooper has enough offense to score with Lone Oak but added running of Heuy will help. Lone Oak can put 4 very good receivers in routes with a 6'-4" D-1 QB throwing to them. When you add a running back with great speed to the mix it is a lethal combination. I think the score will be Lone Oak 49 Cooper 21.
  6. Saturday 11:00 in LK? Is this right?
  7. Scurry has a good RB but Lone Oak has far to many offensive weapons for Scurry's defense to handle. 56-14 Lone Oak
  8. The Cowboys are the most penalized team in the NFL but if they can hold down the penalties and play at the new Cowboys Stadium so they have the home field advantage I will take the Cowboys and give +3.
  9. Thanks for the input. I hope Lone Oak's "D" can contain that speed you are talking about. I think the best way to beat the Buffaloes is to keep their offense off the field as much as you can. Also Lone Oak has got to stop the turnovers that happened the last two games. I think this is going to be a great match up. I know that Lone Oak needs to face a good team before district starts. Good luck to both teams.
  10. Well we have two undefeated teams meeting this week at Lone Oak when the Buffaloes host the Cooper Bulldogs. Lone Oak's senior QB Cooper Jones has surpassed 1000 yds passing and 12 TD passes in the first 4 games. His favorite target is senior Hunter Cash who had 5 catches for 160 yds and 2 Tds and kick off return for a TD against Paris Chisum. I need some information on the Cooper Bulldogs. I know the senior QB Huie is a good one that has been a starter for at least 3 years and they have a speedy RB named Montrel Roberts that gained 131 yds against Prairiland. Tell us something more about the Bull Dogs. Should be a good one, how do you see the outcome.
  11. Better get there early. Allen has the worst 5A stadium in Texas. Can't wait to see the new one.
  12. QB throws well and has a couple of good recievers. Running game needs some work but as a whole pretty good team and well coached.
