Looks like everyone outside of Smoaky is picking Tidehaven to win, so here we go again having to prove to the world who we are. Time to shine Tigers.

I have watched the Tidehaven vs Poth game a couple of times and I still do not know how Tidehaven won. It was as if Poth got two scores up and quit running their offense and tried to hold on. I do believe that if you hit the running back in the mouth every time and keep the QB from running on the back side that it will make them have to pass the ball and that will be the kiss of death. Just like the last two running backs if he finds the middle clogged up he starts to bounce it quickly. With the defense we have played the last two games he will have a hard time getting outside. Poth had a lot of opportunities to throw the ball with open receivers every where but the QB was very inaccurate. Tidehaven has a couple of very good defensive lineman and number 40 at line backer is a beast so running inside on a consistent basis is going to be tough. The kicker goes endzone on his kickoffs. They like short passes unless they can sneak the running back out on the wheel route. All in all I think that if #8, the Daingerfield field general plays like he did last week along with the rest of the defense Tidehaven will have a tough time scoring more then the 21 that Newton scored, and I think that if the Daingerfield QB plays like he did last week and running backs stay in beast mode like they were last week and we cut down on the stupid penalties Daingerfield should score at least 35. 28-35 to 14 Daingerfield or 21 if Tidehaven scores a late TD.

Also 1984 state game against Medina Valley, took them for granted also

Heard all of this last year, blah blah blah, got anything new this year besides a super star running back, saw a lot of holes iin that secondary that the Harmony QB missed, they should have scored at least 4 more times last week, but that's football.

We have a lot of haters in the area, tired of us always having success and winning so much, but polls are just polls. I would not look at last year either, this team is much better, more of a team this last year, and much more physical then last year.

If we can get the Daingerfield team that played the first half of the Center game on defense and the first half of the New Diana game on Offense and maybe defense, for a complete game, we will be hard to beat. I would so love to see that team staying focused, never blinking, would be fun to see. I believe that team might just show up tonight.

Yeah we do not play very well in the playoffs but we will try to make a game of it. Hard to get motivated for the playoffs but we will try.

I understand hard to get motivated when you know that when you win, you have to play a team the next week you cant beat.

This team has not played up to their potential yet that I have seen, except maybe the Center game, especially on the defensive side, not really sure what they have on offense because it truly has been so vanilla, however I do believe that the speed they have is deceptive, seems to me top to bottom they have more speed then normal. I think Friday night it is quite possible that you will see a different team then any video that you have seen, but I have been wrong in the past and could be again. I know that the potential for so much more in there, just not sure when or if we will see them put it all together. You see signs in every game, periods that they do look unbeatable and then period where they seem to not have a clue. We will see if this is the game where we see their true potential and if we do then I do not see Hooks even getting close.

We will see, as long as I have been watching them they have always struggled after a bye week in the first half. Not sure why but I have my opinions.

Could be some of that draw it up in the dirt play calling.

Maybe 8 is going to line up at QB?

I will say this, back in the day this was a normal Friday night, but for the refs to let this happen and there not be consequences teaches the kids absolutely nothing. The WR kid that picked the Waskom kid up and slammed him down head first that started the fight(when kids come to the aid of their team mate everything that happens from there own can be expected, but does not go unpunished). That kid should have been kicked out of the game for sure, given an unsportsman call, then the fight that took place after that could be offsetting. You can bet that the UIL is going to look at this and there may be punishment coming later. When kids go unpunished or anyone for that, they will not learn anything and it will happen again.

How many 3A D1 teams did Dekalb beat?

Edgewood threw the ball all over the field, and their QB running ate your lunch all night, and they do not have near the athletes coming to town Friday night, plus we have a much better defense. I understand the history, but hopefully we can do a better job staying in our gaps and we will get some turnovers, got a few ball hawks.

I remember sitting with about maybe 15 people at a Daingerfield/Farmersville playoff game in Paris a few years back, with 25 MPH plus winds, 32 degrees or lower, driving blowing rain, the entire game. Probably crazy, but it was a great game.

Where is this game being played?

Timpson made a believer out of me, they just toy with you, knowing that at any point Bussey can go around the right end and score, anytime, he is one of the smartest and best QB's(player) I have seen in a long long time in high school. The play last week that he made on the kickoff right before the half was over was just shear intelligence. He knew exactly what was coming just kept moving around and ended up in perfect position to take the squib kick and go untouched to the house. That was game over in my opinion. He is special.

I see you are still having nightmares of Jeter taking it to the house, made him look real slow.

I am not sure who said that daingerfield has the most overall speed. I do believe that it started with the teams that we have played already. However, overall speed does not mean 4 people running around a track. I do believe that top to bottom team speed that daingerfield will have the fastest team. Also I find it real hard to believe that Timpson has anyone that can out run Daingerfield's number 7 on a football field, I guess we will see on Friday.

His new job is coaching up his replacements and inspirational leader and I know that he is ready for that job.
