I will hold all of my comments until I get the details from the people I trust.

The whole process in my opinion.

It is the top two chosen and why they were chosen and whether or not they are qualified or best qualified. Trust me it will all come out eventually and the truth will set a few people free.

When you bury your head in the sand and expect other people to make all of the decisions without any direction from the majority, then you get what we have in America today division. Who truly has the kids best interest at heart, that is the person that I want, and I do not feel like any of those people were truly given a chance. I want to see someone that is willing to put the kids first, their own agenda last, and not only teach these kids football, but prepare them for their next journey in life and I am not sure that person will be in the meeting Wednesday night. If I am wrong someone please set me straight, I want to believe that all of this mess is not right and that I am from a town and school that truly cares about the pride in the Kids, School, and Town. Someone please tell me that everything that I have heard, seen, and read is just a bunch of propaganda, I do not want to believe it, but from the outside it sure looks bunch of selfish agenda seeking mess.

I hope so because there needs to be a huge crowd.

Heard from a good source that we have become a laughing stock at this point in coaching circles around the state. I do not know who is going in front of the board, but I do have a very good idea that none of them are qualified. It is very sad, I know that there are a huge number of people who have been waiting on this group of kids to get to high school together, a group that really loves the game and just need an experienced coaching staff to push them to the next level. This group of people are going to be very upset if we just stay with the same old staff less the AD. What the Superintendent, the board, the committee, and the so called couch(car) QB's are loosing the rest of the town and the kids with their selfish take the easy road ways. The people have to step in and fix this, the vote will not help because no one is apposed this time. The kids deserve MORE!

The superintendent and school board are getting flooded with emails, calls, and text in favor of DA. I have put my two cents worth in myself and will sit back and wait to see what happens. I will tell you this, with the talent we have right now and the talent coming up, they better make the right decision and not waste this time right now or I dare say the next school board election they will come up short. I believe that they could have won at least two more titles in the last 7 years, however the talent was not used correctly, the discipline level went way down. I am not as concerned with the coach at this point as I am with the tradition, pride, and discipline level I have seen on the field. That is why I believe that we need someone that understands that to its fullest. This is my last comment on this thread, we will see what happens, thanks

That is what I heard right after the announcement, that it was all planned. Had me immediately shaking my head. It is obvious to anyone that watched the last two years that no one on this coaching staff could win the kids over to their style of coaching. Like East Texas Finest said these kids need discipline starting at home, then the classroom, then on the football field. They need someone that remembers the tradition, the pride, and what it means to be a Tiger, they someone who has either played or coached here before. It is time for the insanity to stop, I am sure that there is someone out there that can reverse the culture back to what it was.

Need some feelings hurt

Every coach in this area knows how much talent Daingerfield has coming up the ranks, however they still have to be coached. The district that they now are in will need good coaching just to make the playoffs. I choose DA, because I think that he is the closest to the perfect fit for the atmosphere surrounding the job right now.

Gotta have very thick skin, don't care what anybody says about you, hire great people around you, take charge and do it your way in Daingerfield, I can only think of one person right now that fits that description and he is President, so this will not be easy.

Well it is my opinion on this game that the only way that New Diana wins this game is on defense. I believe that they will score because they have great offensive minds on the sidelines and they will come up with a great game plan to counter the Gunter defense and make great adjustments during the game, both things that most teams did not do and I do not know why. Not going to call out any team here. I believe that New Diana will have to take chances on defense it will be the only way to make stops. They are going to have to shoot gaps, get in the back field and disrupt things, something Daingerfield did well most of the first half. There are certain formation clues in the Gunter offense and they have to figure them out and meet them head on. If you do as most teams do against them and set back and read and wait then you are beat at the snap. They will get burned a few times, but they have to take the chances on defense and be prepared to meet the back side plays in the backfield and know all of the formation clues, it is the only chance they have to make stops in my opinion and stops are the only way to stay in the game. Also with the slow start every week that Gunter seems to have they have to score every time especially in the first half, try to build a lead and hold on. Sounds easy enough, LOL

You do a great breakdown and I understand, but I do not see a single pass heavy team that Gunter has played in the mix, so me for one is going to wait and see how they handle the fast pace and the pass. I have learned in my 55 plus years of watching high school football that match ups and heart make a huge difference in some games so I will keep an open mind, because all it takes to score more then the other guy and New Diana seems to find a way to do that lately.

Boling QB was not a passer he had receivers open but could not hit them.

Yes but they have not had to chase receivers all over the field for 48 minutes against a fast paced offense so far this year, it will effect them no matter what you say. I do not have a horse in this race, just know that I have seen three games that Gunter has played last year and this year and teams just did not throw much, even though every time they dropped back receivers were open. I really do not understand the Boling game and the Daingerfield game,. when they passed they had success, but they chose not to do it, I do believe that they will get past this game, but that Canadian will be the team that will beat them if not they will win it again. Do not see a mostly run team beating them until this coaching staff gets another job with the success they are having.

The Gunter skill players will have to go both ways to cover the pass and they have not had to do that very much this year, so it will effect the office, how much have no ideal, but there are factors here that have not been seen this year for either team so it is very hard to predict, and also it very well could be cold which neither has had to deal with so a lot of factors will effect this game. We will see how well each team handles the factors.
